Situated in Queensferry, 5 km from Hopetoun House and 1.3 km from Hawes Pier, Forth Reflections Self Catering provides accommodation with amenities such as free WiFi and a flat-screen TV. Wonderfully appointed flat. The welcome pack was great and Lorna, the owner, was very friendly and helpful. Could not be bettered for views, comfort, location and price. Good restaurants in South Queensferry - we ate at The Boat House and the Queen's Spice - and also fitted in a massage at KB Holistic Therapies (you get a wee discount if you mention that you're staying at Forth Reflections!). Four of us stayed at the flat and I can honestly say that we all had a great night's sleep. Thanks Lorna - we'll be back!
Enjoying stunning views over the famous Forth Bridges, Crawsteps is an elegant apartment located just a 20-minute drive from the centre of Edinburgh. Free parking and free WiFi are available. Lovely apartment and a great host. Has everything you need - including hair dryer, iron, cooking utensils, coffee machine, etc, great for a short or longer stay. Very nice location and the view on the windows is beautiful - you can see the bridges and the sea. The fireplace is also very cosy.
Overlooking the Firth of Forth railway bridge, Innkeeper's Lodge Edinburgh, South Queensferry, is just 20 minutes’ drive from the historical city centre of Edinburgh. The view was stunning, breakfast was good and the staff and atmosphere were very nice.
Beautiful place to visit. Small local shops to see and visit but with added bonus of super markets and places to eat. We ate at Frankie and Bennie's but there is a Burger king and local fish and chip shop which sells an excellent fish supper. From The Nook it was minutes from the main high street and one of the local supermarkets. It is a beautiful place to visit with train station to get you in to Edinburgh in minutes.
Ancient Scottish town with lots of character. Plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from and only 15 minutes by train to Edinburgh. Oh an there are three big bridges, one rail bridge opened 1890, road suspension from the 1960's and the lovely new SNP road bridge 'The Queensferry Crossing' named after Queen Margaret of Scotland who instigated ferry services across to Fife from here for pilgrims heading to St.Andrews.
What a lovely little town ... great for walking or cycling with the old road bridge giving (almost) traffic-free access to the north of the Firth of Forth. Easy travel into the city if you want. Good places to eat or just sit and watch cruise ships come into harbour (pipers an enjoyable extra!)
Quaint village along sea Spectacular views of 3 bridges over River Forth Boat trips available A walk along cobbled street takes you to a little local history museum Continuing a couple of mile or so past the historic church is Hopetoun House a stately home There are eating places to cater for all levels of customer Seafront parking available but can get busy at weekends
Our hotel was right beneath the world famous Forth Bridge, a cantilever structure which has been carrying trains over the Firth of Forth since 1890. You can also see the rather bleak 1960's suspension road bridge and the stunning new SNP Queensferry Crossing, a cable-stayed road bridge completed in 2017. The main street in South Queensferry is beautiful: cobbled and with lots of old Scottish architecture, multi coloured buildings full of character. There are shops, pubs and restaurants a-plenty; we chose Scott's restaurant a bit further along, on the waterfront beneath the suspension bridge - good choice it was superb.
Great location if you prefer to stay on The Firth of Forth near the famous Forth bridges rather than in Edinburgh itself. Historic character hotel with good menu & good choice of beers including traditional hand drawn ales. Nice beer garden.

The apartment is huge and served our family needs perfectly. Carole was an excellent host. I have never stayed somewhere with so much toys for our boys so they were delighted. However there is so much storage space that they were easily hidden away. It really was a home from home. It was a great base for exploring Edinburgh with bus and train links a short walk away. However we fell in love with South Queensferry and ended up spending some time here too. We would love to return and will be recommending to family and friends.

The view was amazing! The accommodations were wonderful and the host was exceptional! We wanted to try something apart from traditional hotels for our vacation to Scotland and we're so happy we did. We felt everything we needed was very close...from pubs, restaurants and even a market to walking/biking trails and the bus line into Edinburgh. I highly recommend Forth Reflections!

The historical value of the inn! RL Stevenson is one of my favorite authors/poets and with his touch, it made my visit there a bit more special. Dinner was very good in the restaurant! View of the Firth of Forth bridge was amazing! Location was very close to the Edinburgh airport, so it was convenient to catch an early morning flight.

I have no words to describe how wonderful this hotel is. I would rather say it is super comfortable B&B. Spotlessly clean, comfortable beds, superb breakfast, great location and proximity to Edinburgh and motorway yet peacefully rural on a beautiful countryside. Thank you very much for making our stay so comfortable.

We ended up in a very cozy village outside of Edinburgh on our way home from Scotland. A nice lady took care of us and as we were going early in the morning after, she prepared breakfast bags for us in the evening. Bed was big and comfortable, room both modern and cozy at the same time. We really enjoyed our stay here!

We stayed at the hotel the night before we flew out from Edinburgh and the location was perfect. The hotel itself is lovely and very comfortable. The room had everything we needed. We are in the restaurant and it was delicious - I highly recommend the monkfish and prawn curry! This one is well worth a visit.
