Hotel in Queensferry
The 4-star Dakota Edinburgh is a modern hotel with an award-winning restaurant and free Wi-Fi. The location was perfect for Edinburgh Airport - I have stayed in a few airport hotels and they were just horrendous. I was recommended this hotel by my son and it exceeded all my expectations. Modern hotel with amazing staff, location and the service in the Bar and Grill along with the choice of food and beverage was excellent. I have stayed in many 5* hotels over the world and always cringe at the thought of UK hotels - but this was a hidden gem.

Lovely and relaxed atmosphere, friendly people. The place has lovely walks , there was a big Tesco nearby to get snacks and stuff. There was also a big shopping mall not too far from the hotel. Very scenic and beautiful in the suburbs with beautiful gardens.

Queensferry is a really quaint place. Lots of local shops and great places to eat. Lots of walks and uphill climbs. The boat is worth doing. Also a burger at down the hatch. Bus service is reliable and frequent - easy access in to Edinburgh
Queensferry was fine. Just the right amount of time there. Any longer and you'd be bored. Local transport very good. Heart of Edinburgh City 20 minutes by bus. Which also left every 20minutes.
Loved the views, cobbled streets and plenty of eating places from small cafes and chip shops to big restuaraunts.Port Edgar marina seems to be developing well with various units running and a smashing restaurant in Scott’s.
