Set in the village of Roslin, The Original Rosslyn Inn is an idyllic village inn, just 8 miles from Edinburgh’s city centre. This family-run property has a traditional pub and a fine dining... We were upgraded. The room had recently been updated & was full of olde world charm.
With its own Victorian tearoom, Chapel Cross Guest House is situated in the historic village of Roslin and 9 miles south from the scenic capital city of Edinburgh. Free on-site parking is available. We had the magnificent King room situated on the corner of the building. The views were stunning, the sky big! The interior design of our room was gorgeous and well appointed.

Featuring garden views, Aaron Glen Apartments features accommodation with a patio and a kettle, around 10 km from National Museum of Scotland. The property and owner were amazing! The apartment was very spacious, super-clean and very comfy! You instantly feel at home and the new and very modern kitchen made it so easy to prepare small snacks and dishes. The bathrooms and bedrooms were also new, charming and very clean. The Owner was incredibly friendly and made our stay really, really memorable. We are so happy that we made the decision to stay at Aaron Glen Apartments as it was just perfect for our get-away with friends. We can't wait to return next year. Highly recommended!
Situated just outside the historic city of Edinburgh, Greenlees Lodge has a secluded location on a private lane and offers free Wi-Fi and free parking on site. kindness, place, comfort, silence. A marvelous place in the middle of woods. Gerry relly kind helped us with our needs. A real remarkable stay.
The main reason for staying in Roslin is off course its were Bovril was invented and everyone comes to see the place for that; well apart from a few who watched a film and want to see the chapel. It is also a good spot to stay and explore Edinburgh and its history or just play golf.
I was there for work. So I only managed some evening walks, Roslin glen is beautiful, very pretty and peaceful. The countryside around is also charming. Next time I will go to the butterfly farm and to the chapel. It was very relaxing to have a great apartment instead of an hotel. I shopped for food in the local M and S Simply Food but the highlight was the wonderfully freshly cooked Indian food in the takeaway next door, Ali even gave me a plate of watermelon later in the evening and I was able to watch him and his staff make me a balti and tandoori chicken and nann from scratch, totally unexpected hospitality.
Roslin village is a historic village, full of history. Rosslyn Chapel is just a short walk, it is a fascinating building, the staff are really nice and friendly. There's not much left of Rosslyn Castle, although interesting talks from staff.
Perfect holiday home, with lots of lovely walks, safe parking for car, we were able to leave the car for the 3 days we were there and just walk everywhere, perfect for us. Very friendly and helpful host. Ideal for visiting Edinburgh, buses running every half hour. Hopefully stay again in not to distant future. Thank you James.
Roslin is a lovely place and the locals we met were friendly. I wanted to see the chapel mainly and although I know there is upkeep I thought the admission fee was far too much. People should not have to pay to go to church !! I feel it was very commercialised and it was capitalising on the film, which probably boost tourism.
Great little village very close to Edinburgh; Musselburgh; Ikea etc. First time we had every stayed there but with the Guesthouse and Inn would highly recommend. Lots of places of interest close by and lovely walks around the Chapel etc.
fantastic hotel very large room very comfy and for the price very cheap in all would go back in a flash.eating place just across the road which served lovely meals, lovely walks around the local area, and of course the lovely rosslyn chapel well worth a visit and of course william the cat that stays there to which yoy will be told about if you pay a visit
Professionell breakfast service in an elegant English style, cosy beds and the Classic style and the history the hotel has is remarkable!
