It isn't difficult to make your way around the whole of the Town centre and its shops in a couple of hours. Shops are varied and spread around all four main arteries fanning out from the Market House, the High St being the oldest, smartest part of town. Thiursday and Saturday are Market Days
If it is a day visit only, then a walk down to the river is a must, over Wilton Bridge, maybe a spot of lunch at the White Lion or more upmarket, opposite at The Wilton Court.
In town, Pots and Pieses and Globetrotters are lovely for coffee and cake.
St Mary's church and the Churchyard deserve a stroll and from the Prospect view point you can enter the back of The Royal Hotel with its large outdoor seating area and stunning views.
Restaurants to be recommended are No 3, Avellino and Yaks and Yetis.
There is no way of getting round Ross without some uphill or downhill walking but the riverside area is well within most people's capabilities and definitely worth the effort.
Although a small Town, the one way can make it tricky for visitors to not end up doing the full tour of the town again, if a vital turning is missed.
