As we did not hire a car we had to rely on buses. We bought a weeks pass this saved a lot of money. The bus service is very good and easy to negotiate. St Helier is a beautiful town. St Helier is very changed over the last few decades with the presence of the many finance buildings but some of its old stores and markets are still there and pubs and restaurants have survived which is lovely to see. while we were there it was fairly busy, but nice to see shops still being used not boarded up, there was a great choice of pub/restaurants there but a lot of walking does take place in order to find what you may be looking for. there are plenty of benches for you to take a break on though. there are plenty of parks, and the esplanade area is a nice way to have a stroll and an ice cream or drinks.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0

The island was perfect in so many ways, clean, safe, lots to do and a wide variety of stunning beaches to swim at. However the cost of eating out was prohibitive to say the least.
