The restaurant breakfast was good and the dinner was excellent. I had the best local caught fresh fish I’ve had in a long, long time. View from the dining room and pool was spectacular. Great morning coffee, bathroom was updated & clean. Staff was helpful & friendly.

*Excellent location for exploring Penzance with lots of nice pubs and restaurants within walking distance. The pub opposite (The Admiral Benbow) was full of character and had some great local beers on tap.
*The room was well appointed and the furnishings were of a high quality. The building was old, which meant steep stairs and uneven floors, but that wasn't an issue for us. Loved the coffee machine and the bathroom products.
*Staff were friendly and helpful. We didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant, but it seemed popular, and the bar was very welcoming.

There’s access to lots of coves and beaches but in the August heatwave we loved the cooler harbours at Porthleven and Mousehole (where the carnival was in full swing). Sadly St Ives was too packed to park as where Hayle and Carbis Bay, they seemed lovely but we’d stick to the South coast if we went again. Thankfully we’d hired a car (with aircon) so we really got about a bit. Try out the Coach and Horses just across the road for value for money whilst the aptly titled Packet Inn was a bit more ‘up market’. KC Fish and Chips across the road was also good. If you’re so inclined the coastal path runs nearby and you can walk down to Kenneggy Cove. Alternatively hop in the car and St Michael’s Mount and the beach are a few minutes drive.
