You have many lovely towns and villages very close by including Stow on the Wold, Bourton on the Water with lovely little shops to browse or buy a gift from. We had most meals at the hotel, however can recommend The Hive in Stow for a lovely lunch, very friendly staff and amazing sandwiches!

We ate in the hotel at The garniche restaurant as it was really tasty and presented beautifully. It's also a great base to visit the surrounding areas. Stow- on -the -Wold ,Cirencester, westonbirt in Tetbury, the Cotswold wildlife park an much more
We had our car and drove everywhere which was brilliant.
We had our car and drove everywhere which was brilliant. If you were using public transport you probably would be wise to check it out first.
Drive into the smaller villages and you can find some real gems.
Investigate some of the smaller attractions e.g. houses that are open for only two days a week. Smaller museums etc.
The arts and crafts movement is all around you wherever you go.
Walking base in the Cotswolds
Our accommodation was not in Salperton, it was nearby. We didn't visit Salperton. We visited the wider Cotswolds area which is a beautiful part of the country. Bibury, Bourton on the Water, Stow on the Wold and the Slaughters are all worth visiting. We particularly enjoyed walking over the hills and fields, there are many well marked trails to follow. We ate in our accommodation, the Garniche at Puesdown, and it was very good.
