Set in Saltash, 39 km from St Austell, Trenethick offers a garden and free WiFi. The bed and breakfast offers a seating area with a TV and a private bathroom with free toiletries and shower. Everything. The owner is very helpful and such a father figure. He accommodate me straight away even though it's not my time to log in.
Ryelands B&B is situated 2 miles from Saltash, known as the Gateway to Cornwall. It boasts panoramic views across the Tamar Valley, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. This property was superb. Julie, our hostess, was delightful and we felt we had known her as a good friend. She had thought of everything to make her guests feel totally at home. Nothing was too much trouble for this lovely woman. Thank you Julie - we loved our stay and your company.
On the banks of the River Tamar, the family-run Pentillie Castle and Estate offers woodland gardens, free Wi-Fi, and a games room. With free parking, it is just 5 miles from the centre of Saltash. We love the location and the layout of the Castle, whenever we are down the West Country we mke it our go to pl e
We were in Saltash to look at properties as we are looking to move there, so obviously we love it! :-D Lots of public transport, plenty on the doorstep and easy access to Plymouth if Saltash doesn't have what you need.
Gateway to Cornwall and a lovely small town with good amenities. Plymouth and all of Cornwall on your doorstep, 20 mins drive from lovely beaches, 20 mins from moors and 20 mins from Plymouth City. Charming, friendly and sweet Saltash has everything you need. Health Spa nearby with Golf Courses, (China Fleet Country Club and St Mellion Country Club), and lots of opportunity to get some fresh air.
It's a decent area with adequate nightlife but you'd have to travel into the city if you really wanted to party. There's some nice places to walk and a few decent shops but nothing that would make you want to live there. The people seem quite hostile and stand offish but the pub owners and staff tend to be lovely.
We chose Saltash for staying overnight on our weekend trip to Cornwall and Devon. Great location (just a few miles from A38. Very quiet and peaceful place to relax. Spacious car park free of charge. Room clean, comfortable bed. Good choice of food in the restaurant and bar served till late.
We were visiting Saltash where we meet up with relatives. It has a small pleasant town, which has pubs, shops, coffee shops/cafes etc, nice views of The Tamar. Eliot Arms was just outside in St. Germans, a nice quiet village but near enough to Looe and Polperro. Lovely scenery anytime of the year. We especially like Looe and always get Cornish Pasties from Sarah’s Pasty Shop to take back home. The Old Sail Loft Restaurant in Looe is very good and also The Copley Arms at Hessenford
Friendly town, lovely views, many beautiful beaches and the moors all a short drive away Brunel Inn had a wonderful atmosphere and the food was amazing China Fleet is a great family place to unwind where the children can run indoor and outdoor in the play areas where you can enjoy same time out Seaton beach and Looe less than 30 mins away

Parking was good. Double room was very good with a decent sized bath. Food was excellent, evening meal and breakfast. Staff were superb. A real family friendly place. Wifi was very good throughout the premises. I generally stay away from home mon-fri every week and this is the best value place I have stayed at this year. Well done Eliot hotel, I will be back.

For the price you don't expect much luxury just basics, and it was almost right, but let down by a shower control that was faulty and poor staff response to breakfast being cold.
