Overall Heywood is a lovely spa hotel. We had a lovely stay, a great sleep in a nice king bed, and the breakfast was lovely. A nice selection of options on the menu is available, with some juices and a fresh coffee available. The room was spacious (albeit we were given a free upgrade - always boxes well) with a lovely layout that felt new and well designed. The team aided us in sourcing flowers as part of a baby moon, a lovely touch. The hotel is within a brief walk to the Tenby center - and we made it even with a pregnant wife. We found the hotel is also well priced albeit we have visited outside of peak season.
The hotel felt intimate but has comfortable spaces, the spa was of a more than suitable standard for a 4-star.
Relax in the Bar and lounge which also overlook South Beach and Caldey Island. Drinks can also be enjoyed on our Terrace. Unwind in our indoor heated swimming pool and heated loungers.
On the edge of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Penally Abbey Country House Hotel offers views across Camarthen Bay. There is a restaurant, free Wi-Fi and large, leafy grounds.
We visit family here who live in Saundersfoot. Aswell as the hotel, there are some great cafes, fish & chips in the town. An accessible picturesque walk to the next bay (Coppitts) through the tunnel. If you’re more energetic a fab coastal walk into Tenby. Or go the other direction to Amroth which has a few cafes, shop, pubs & beach. National trust garden near here too. Lots of other places of interest within 30 minutes drive - Carew Castle, wildlife park, & so on.

The Chemist had a good selection of real ales and the Steak and Stilton pie was to die for.
The Mulburry did one of the best curries we’ve had with on site parking too.

Love Saundersfoot and would def stay there again.
Lots of lovely walks and places to explore.
Lovely clean beach.
Plenty of places to eat in or takeaway.
Friendly in all the shops.
We visited out of season Sept/Oct, so nice and quiet. I'm not sure how busy it can get during peak holiday times?
Perfect for us though 👌

Saundersfoot used to live in the shadow of Tenby but that time has passed and we much prefer it. Partly because the beaches are accesible without the climb! Essential if you're lugging children and all your beach stuff. Both Saundersfoot and Glen beach are easy walking distance from the town centre with Coppet's Hall and Wisemans Bridge a further walk down the coast for the more intrepid. The coast is unspoilt and seeing litter is a rarity, the locals and visitors all seem to care for this lovely place.
The shops and restaurants in Saundersfoot are of a good quality and will keep you coming back.

Saundersfoot is a quaint village with plenty to do.
Saundersfoot is a quaint village with plenty to do. There a numerous pubs, restaurants, cafes to cater for all tastes. There are two beaches either side of a working harbour the smaller one dog friendly all year round with two water sports companies to hire paddle boards, canoes etc or bicycles. There are coastal walks with exquisite views and small coves to discover. It is also a handy base for site seeing for example Pembroke castle inside an hour away.

The hotel looked pretty good from the road side and the location was well situated to access all of Saundersfoot facilities. There was a bus stop only 100 yards from the hotel, which was very handy. The restaurant looked very clean and well presented, the room was adequate for a short stay and there was parking out the back for maybe up to 10 cars. The bonus for us was that the hotel served the cheapest pint in Saundersfoot and the staff were friendly despite some negative reviews.
we didn’t stay at this address as there was road roads/resurfacing of the car park right outside. we we’re grateful that someone from Oceans called us prior to leaving and offered us a different accommodation and the end of the harbour. We were pleased they did as the roadworks were incredibly noisy. loved the location and loved Saundersfoot.
Lovely stay, staff very welcoming. Room was nice and clean. Security at the hotel was second to none. Easy to find, close to Saundersfoot. Small children’s play area great little touch. Small issue with hot water not working but this was addressed straight away and corrected.
Great location near to both Saundersfoot and Tenby, quiet and peaceful surroundings and very comfortable.A really lovely stay and hope to return in the future.
Excellent hotel, well situated overlooking Saundersfoot. Staff were friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good . Plenty of parking space.
