A beautifully restored Georgian manor house set in 150 acres of countryside, Manor Of Groves Hotel Golf And Country Club features a wellness center, a golf course and free parking. Breakfast was outstanding lots of options and choice. I had stayed because of a Xmas party function which was also outstanding
Set in Sawbridgeworth, 17 mi from Chelmsford, Sawbridgeworth Bed & Breakfast offers a garden and free WiFi. This is a wonderful home from home BnB. Michelle & Rob are the perfect hosts & are always prepared to go the extra mile. Lovely, clean comfortable room with coffee making facilities & lots of extras. I highly recommend this BnB & will definitely return.. often! The full English breakfast prepared by Michelle was excellent & served with a smile. Definitely a 5* establishment.
This small, AA 4-star gold-rated boutique hotel with a motoring theme has a large American-style kitchen, unique bedrooms and Morgan sports cars to hire on site. We really enjoyed our two night stay. This family run unique B&B is attached to a working garage/museum full of beautiful Morgan cars. It is comfortable, clean and excellent value for money. We particularly enjoyed the flexibility of the kitchen and the thoughtfulness which had gone into what it provided. The visit included an entertaining and impressive tour of the establishment by the friendly and enthusiastic owner Melvyn.
Located in Harlow, 3.1 mi from Harlow Mill, Pages Hotel and Guest house features accommodations with a shared lounge, free private parking, a garden and a terrace. We loved everything about this place, the very responsive conversations with Alan prior to arrival, we felt a warmth and cosy welcome atmosphere. Newly decorated spacious rooms, crisp white lining and white fluffy towels….perfect! Location was perfect for quick routes into London by car or train. hotel/guesthouse was fabulous value for the price. Shame there was no cooked breakfast but the simplicity of help yourself when you want is a nice touch.
In the beautiful and peaceful village of Hatfield Heath, just 6.2 mi from Stansted Airport, this family-run hotel has its own leisure center with a heated indoor pool. One of the best hotels I have stayed in the UK. Food is very good, rates are just ok.
This 4-star country-house hotel is set in a beautiful 110-acre estate on the Hertfordshire/Essex border. Lovely cozy hotel with very friendly staff, nice clean spacious rooms, love the style and was surprised by the quality of everything as normally places like this are quite dated (we stayed at quite a few across the country). The lounge area is very nice and cozy with that huge fireplace and old style furniture. Nice proper breakfast and food in the restaurant is good. Haven’t had the chance to use the spa facilities, but will definitely be staying again.
the rooms are untidy and dirty the beds in the new building are very uncomfortable and then in the old building the rooms are dirty and in disrepair. the staff are absolutely lovely cannot fault them, happy and friendly. I would not come back here sadly as the premisses where lacking and dirty
If you look at August review Helen they also had superior room that smelt like sewer so the hotel purely hadn’t corrected this in August we had just come back today 20th September when we complained today attach this to my previous review please of complaint wish had seen before booking would never have gone especially o suffer from Copd too
Broken glass in the car park for several days Breakfast over cooked Cigarette butt’s outside the reception area were still there when we left Towels enough for one person only Dirty bathroom Cigarette butts outside our bedroom window Kettle wouldn’t reach any plug nearby One girl who was lovely but rushed off her feet trying to keep everyone happy but impossible. People barbecuing in the grounds Etc etc
I liked my large double room, which was warm and clean. The Jacuzzi, Steam Room and Sauna were clean and pleasant to use. Lauren delivered one of the best Hot Stone Massages I have ever had anywhere in the world. I could not fault the Breakfast, Restaurant, and Bar. The staff were professional and attentive the food was lovely and value for money. I encountered a problem with the hallway to my room, the manager and receptionist came straight away and offered solutions including an offer to change room. They were professional and competent. I chose not to change room, as, I was reassured by their professionalism and solutions. The local Parish Church of St James the Great has Commonwealth War Graves, where one can pay their respects. I also had a lovely walk into Sawbridgeworth to shop. I did not play golf at the hotel although it looked inviting.
Sawbridgeworth is a cute little town, with old buildings and small streets and a beautiful scenery surrounding it.I particularly like it, down by the river along the towpath. It also has several fantastic antic shops, in a huge brick building called The Maltings, just opposite the train station. You can find all sorts of interesting and rare stuff there.
A sleepy little Hertfordshire countryside town, steeped in history and charm. Lovely to walk around and get lost in... ideal for hikers who like to cover some distance, as there seems to be a public footpath in every direction! QWuick transport links to London and Cambridge.
Extremely friendly hosts.Very clean rooms,no left over hairs from previous guests, which most hotels and b&b’s have, which is disgusting.Nice fresh smelling bedding and sheets.Comfortable beds.Absolutely fabulous!
Great hotel, I will be using again.
