Highlander Hotel, The Farrier, and Weston Hotel got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Scarborough.
Been visiting Scarborough since the 60s, love that it's still quite old fashioned. Still discovering places, plenty of great walks near Scarborough. Always stay self catering so much more flexibility, so many lovely coffee shops/cafes. The scenery is breathtaking, especially on a bright sunny day. Still love a visit to Peasholm Park. Find the people very friendly, some great characters in the local bars. We go to Merchant Irish Bar and Tap n Spile for entertainment.
Despite the “dodgy” reviews, The Grand was glorious and vastly exceeded our expectations. The building, views and beach are unparalleled. The place was clean and staff very friendly. If you appreciate amazing places you must go. I wouldn’t have missed it for the World. No hot water in our bathroom but that was negligible in the Grand scheme of things 🤩
Although our stay was January still plenty of restaurants open. Good train and bus services as well. A great place to stay. We ate at Giannis( Italian), Eat me at Stephen Joseph theatre for Burns night and Royal Spice(Indian). All were excellent, great food and friendly staff would definitely go back to all of them. Lord Rosebery westherspoons also a good place for a drink.
I have been to Scarborough many times as I have family there. Shopping Centre, Food, Drinks and Beaches are all great. Amusement Arcades and Funfair to keep the little ones entertained. Peasholm Park is beautiful.
Our stay at the windmill was like home from he and was difficult to prize ourselves away, we woke up to snow and had the view of Scarborough covered in a white sheet,, amazing, but bars and restaurants are nearby and not a bad place to shop
Scarborough town high level was a mix of convenient shops and coffee places. There were interesting speciality shops amongst those. The cliff railway was wonderfully preserved and of course, fully operational linking high to low level town. The lower level had well established cafés, fish and chip shops and of course a backdrop of the harbour with the fishing boats and some good seats. (I’m disabled and was thankful for this) I enjoyed my stay, the people were lovely and genuine. Really homely, really nice, I haven’t been so happy for years!
I think we got lucky as our room had been renovated literally that day. Still had seels on the plugs and smelt a bit of fresh paint. The Hotel itself is looking a vit tired but what an amazing piece of architecture. The Sea view terrace has to have the best view of Scarborough. We got delayed at check in but the team behind the counter were clearly.well trained and dealt with circumstances beyond their control.well. value for money in my opinion. I think they are investing in this place and I would be exited about revisiting in a year or so.
We took the 'Family Room with Sea View and No Extra Bed' option, which was the dearest choice though still not expensive. It gave us a huge, bright bedroom with sofa, armchairs, table and very comfortable king-size bed, plus a sizable bathroom and a lovely view across the pretty public gardens of the Crescent to the sea. The hotel's situation, in one of Scarborough's best mid-Victorian terraces, central but secluded, is excellent. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful.
Scarborough
Our 3rd time here, we would never stay anywhere else when we come to Scarborough, it's perfect for my family. They think of everything. Steven, Margaret and their son are all delightful, so friendly and helpful. Ashburton House is firmly in my children's memories, and my son says it's his best holiday. Which makes me laugh as he has been to universal also this year.
Scarborough
Perfect location!! On to the seafront in no time at all!! Absolutely beautiful apartment and was ideal for a small family like us. Our little boy has multiple food allergies so eating out on holiday isn't always that simple so going for a self-catered aparthotel like this was the perfect solution. We have family in Yorkshire so will definitely be booking here again!!
Staff were fantastic. Owner very friendly made us feel welcome. We asked to book in early they advised us they would try their best and did book us in early. Rooms specious and clean On street parking which hotel sold us a parking permit which works out cheaper than in a 24hr car park. Breakfast which was included was very good plenty of choice
Scarborough
I've stayed in Scarborough for many year's, various B&Bs and hotels. I'm pleased to say this is the best I've stayed in. The reception you get is second to none, kind, considerate & caring. The service was second to none, great room & exceptional breakfast. Like Arnold Schwarzenegger...... I'll be back.😎
Scarborough
We had a lovely time at the Catania, the small double was perfect for our needs and the breakfast was very good and catered well for me as a vegetarian. The hotel is overlooking the bay and a stride from lots of amenities, Peasholme Park and the best chippy in Scarborough. We shall return to lovely Scarborough and the Catania. xxx
when we arrived at reception, lovely warm welcome from reception staff and also to be advised that we had been given an upgrade to a room with a sea view. All staff in the hotel, very friendly and helpful, nothing was any trouble for them. Excellent breakfast and easy to select different things from great choice of menus
Great friendly and helpful staff, first class service throughout our stay. Excellent breakfast, and food. very comfortable and homely hotel. Nice pool too. It was amazing that with the Covid issues everything was managed so well. If/when we return to Scarborough we will try and book with Crown Spa Hotel, without doubt.
Great hotel with a wonderful stylish vibe in the best location in Scarborough. It’s geared to walkers, cyclists and dog owners without sacrificing style and comfort. The cocktail bar and restaurant have great menus. Possibly the best in central Scarborough.
Scarborough
Lovely accomodation, fantastic correspndence from the owner (Tim), nothing too much trouble, great sea views, 10 mins walk into the centre of Scarborough, lovely little cafe 2 minutes walk from the hotel (Fairways) for breakfast.
Scarborough
The guesthouse had every amenity you could hope for, and the owner, Paul, was really friendly. The room was very large and comfortable, and located close to all the major attractions in Scarborough. We loved our stay.
The location of the hotel is fantastic as you've got two sides of the beach and both are within easy walking distances, and the castle is a stones throw away.
Our Stay at the Royal Hotel Scarborough was fantastic! Loved every moment of it
