It was at a fantastic location, close to the Seaglass Beach, and lots of great restaurants. The person running the B&B was super helpful, especially in getting us a screwdriver when our luggage wheel broke.

Lovely home from home, stylish duplex apartment. Perfect location in Seaham with beautiful sea views.
Located right in the heart of Seaham seafront. I was surprised by how quiet it was once inside. Even with some renovation works below we didn’t hear a thing. Friendly communications from the owner and a great bonus that there’s a discount on the breakfasts in The Lamp Room. We loved breakfast and dinner there. There is no designated parking, but we had no problem parking for free close by on a busy bank holiday weekend.
Located 5 minutes’ drive from the County Durham coastline, The Seaton Lane Inn - The Inn Collection Group features free on-site parking and is just over 10 miles from Durham city center.

Good location for the Stadium of Light, very good room, solid breakfast, friendly and helpful staff, just enough parking and lots of shops and amenities nearby. Not cheap but not crazy either. Room was very clean on arrival.

For anyone wanting to visit County Durham, the OYO in Murton is centrally located and won't break the bank! This is the second time I've stayed here and the rooms are clean, secure, and spacious. This is not a five-star hotel...it is a lovely old village inn that has been renovated and brought up to modern standards...with a pub on the main floor to boot!
Lovely with lots of history.
Amazing Sea glass to find on beach.
Why don't people know about the sea glass its so addictive and keeps the kiddies occupied for hours.
Great Indian restaurant on front.

We went to Seaham mainly for the beach.
We went to Seaham mainly for the beach. We also enjoyed looking around the town & marina. It was a good base for travelling to see local landmarks like angel of the North & Adrian's wall. We didn't find there was much to do in Seaham especially in bad weather. The locals all seemed very friendly. We found lot of local shops in the town were closed & had shutters down so not sure if that was permenant or seasonal as our visit was in October

Seaham beaches are renowned for its sea glass, and in that respect, it did not disappoint. There are lovely walks along the coast, the shopping centre is good. I did not eat out, so cannot comment. The bus service is very good, but the rail station is quite a walk from the centre.

Very clean. Good room. Good parking.
Very clean. Good room. Good parking. Poor menu options when running out of main courses. Ran out of two of the four main courses at 6pm. Told that chef had not prepared the pie and mash option despite being on menu.

Like everyone else, we went for the seaglass!
Like everyone else, we went for the seaglass! But the people of the area are great. Cheerful, helpful and talkative. We got chatting to others who were hunting glass, walking dogs, there for the view, and just really enjoyed meeting others. We were spoilt for choice on places to eat, and left with a lot more to visit - The Glass Centre 20 miles away has to be next.

Nice town with very friendly local people.
Nice town with very friendly local people. Good beaches and opportunities to swim in the sea. Beaches - sand and stones - were free of litter. Easy to park (free) near beaches. A town with a family vibe.

The property was stylish comfortable and clean. Beautifully designed with comfort in mind. Lovely log burner for cosy nights in after seeing the sights in the rain. The bed was massive and very comfy. All the towels and bedding smelled gorgeous. Easy parking outside. Great communication from Debra. Very convenient location and within walking distance for all that Seaham has to offer. We highly recommend a short drive to the Fox and Tree for delicious food - one of the best meals we have ever had. We loved our stay in Seaham !
The room was lovely, bed very comfortable. We had dinner, food lovely and the staff wonderful.
Same regarding breakfast, good choice, good food.
All the staff we met throughout our stay were very friendly and professional, an asset to the hotel
Handily located with easy parking. Beautifully thought-out and generously equipped, clean and comfortable and neat and cosy. Friendly, unobtrusive management. It was a delightful revelation after our previous night's hotel stay!
Superb location for beach access and close to other towns / cities. Will definitely return for more seaglass hunting!
Will look forward to sampling the new bar next time.
Free parking in car parks in Seaham is a big bonus.
Spacious and clean. There is a bus stop round the corner for buses to Sunderland (we didn't want to drive). Much better staying in Seaham than the city. Lovely beach and sea front.
