Great location and lovely grounds. Tired and dated hotel room, dirty and not what I expect especially when I’ve paid over £200 for the night. The reception team were rarely visible. Couldn’t get food on arrival as they serve afternoon tea to outside guests and the tables were reserved or taken. I had a ground floor room with a lake view and the wedding marquee was situated there, the music was loud as where the guests and they all seemed to have a lovely time and I’m glad however, the wedding went on until the early hours and the noise made it impossible for me to sleep.Guest review bySheilaUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Reception, Restaurant, Bar, Location & grounds of the Hardwick Hall Hotel are second to none, Outstanding. The food in the Restaurant was also exceptional. The room I stayed in was a little tired. The shower leaked onto the floor, not all the lights worked in the bathroom. Sedgefield is a lovely little village with a busy High street, there's a choice if cafes and pubs all serving good choices of food and drinks. Also there's a few interesting little shops, Bettys Boudoir and Peridot. There's a beauty rooms a craft beer shop. Amongst other things.
