Skegness is a lovely place. lots of different things for different ages. WE spent the day visiting seal sanctuary , great as theyve added many more things like a mini farm. Money goes towards the treatment for the seals found ill or abandoned, plus upkeep of other animals . Great mini golf, arcades, shopping, bowling, rides , gardens and restaurants and souvenirs.

For me,I can get there by bus,it’s a short walk to our Guest House The Ivydene on Drummond Road.
There is a great selection of eateries.
The beach is lovely and there are Lifeguards that have flags on certain areas of the beach, where it is safe to swim.
Plenty of banks, arcades and shops to amuse yourself.
There is an outdoor swimming pool..

We came for a quiet weekend break and an Embassy Show. Parking was quite restricted and disabled parking facilities have been reduced. For a family break, I would say Skegness was good and affordable.

I know people have said negative things about Skegness over the years. I don't agree with them. There is a bit of romance in the place, the people there are friendly, the shop keepers are also friendly and the hotelier are very helpful. I don't agree with these bigger corporations trying to introduce bigger hotels bigger camp sites, etc. The people that live there and work there need to be given a chance too.

I like Skegness near to public transport .plenty of dog friendly places and still has some shops open and a few selling beach type gifts and tak. I like seaside tack for the record lol.that sadly many seaside resorts don't. I much prefered it this time than my last visit, which seemed to be rife with shops selling brocken or out of date stuff miles out too unsuspecting visitors or rude staff. That doesn't wash with me and I'd stop coming. This time was much better friendly lumley shopping centre the staff are lovely some remembered me and the dog. The cafe above the arcade same lovely helpful staff
The moment you enter the building its warm and welcoming!!! The staff are Lovely! Owners are so welcoming and friendly 😊 ☺️!!! Beautiful view and is local to the skegness town centre. We stayed from the 31st to the 2nd booked out and booked another stay on the same day, but this time we are In a double room. EVERYTHING IS BEAUTIFUL 😍 🤩 👌 ✨️!!!!!! WOULD RECOMMEND 100%
Exceptional value. Ample on-street parking. Warm, well-furnished. Friendly. Close to town centre with a variety of shops, pubs, cafés and restaurants.
Also close to seafront, children's play areas and attractions. Beautiful park nearby. Amazing murmuration of birds at dusk is a sight to behold!
Highly recommended
