Could not fault this hotel in any way 10/10. Good walking distance from Skipton, staff were exceptional as was the food. Lots of nice cafes, pubs and restaurants all very attractive and dog friendly. The outdoor market is quite good. Enjoyed walks down the canal and in Skipton Castle woods. Great pie shop and wine shop as well.
Great town with lots of lovely shops, cafes, pubs and tourist attractions many of which are dog-friendly. Easy access to nearby villages of Grassington, Malham and Haworth, all of which are worth a visit. One thing you must do is take a 30 minute canal trip
Skipton is a lovely town. There is plenty of places within reach of the centre of the town to go see without having to go very far. lovely pubs with very nice food served. The canal trips on the barges with and without food are lovely!. a really good selection of shops up the high street. We stayed at Whooly Sheep ,we have been to stay there a few times . Even if you dont stay there the food and the selection of drinks is brilliant , Bizzy Lizzy fish and chips are second to none love to sit by the canal is a lovely pastime on a lovely day. But all your days at Skipton are good days.!! The market in the high street is brilliant.
Skipton is a busy and interesting small town. Plenty to see and do in the surrounding area. Train station with easy access to Bradford and Leeds. Overall a great place to base yourself for visiting places of interest. Although a car is probably essential for many sites. Eg. Brimham Rocks.
Its a lovely market town with good restaurants and cafes. The castle is well worth the visit. There are a couple of shops that I always visit when here and the market which is on the main street I think 4 times a week is well worth a visit. Very friendly town.
Nice little town lovely canal with nice boat trips very picturesque. Lots of coffee shops pubs and eateries to choose from A visit to the castle is a must..Also a nice market a couple of days a week to visit
The apartment was spacious and comfortable. We loved the fireplace for the slightly cooler evenings, and the proximity and the Fox and Hounds was lovely for the nice cold pint in the sunshine. Lovely hosts made all the effort to fulfill extra requests, and were very friendly. Food at the Fox and Hounds is truly memorable too, Masterchef style! And finally the location was perfect for the walking holiday, at the bottom of the Buckden Pike, and one minute from Dales Way. Cannot recommend more.
Lovely little find for an overnight stay with friends. Host was super friendly. Room was very clean, comfortable and had everything required for our stay. Host gave us ideas of where to eat. Was parking at hotel but slots were full, we were able to park on the road nearby. Breakfast was tasty and very quick service, which was great as we had an early departure. Few minutes walk into the centre of Skipton. Don't stay in guest houses that much but would happily stay again.
The interior décor of the room was very welcoming and cozy. The bed was super comfy. The bathroom was spotlessly clean and the shower was very spacious and modern. The room was quite warm to come to after a long walk in the country. It was just what we needed. The breakfast was excellent. There was plenty of choice. The English breakfast was huge and Carol even makes her own sourdough bread. You can tell that this is a professional B&B in a well looked after property.
We got an unexpected upgrade to a superior room on arrival, the room was really lovely. Right at the front of the hotel overlooking the centre of Skipton. Not loud with the window closed. Spotlessly clean. Lovely big bath and warm room (fan if you need it) Toiletries and brew kit all good.Fresh milk always available from the bar. x2 complementary drinks too :-) The food and beer are excellent and the staff are lovely. A credit to Timothy Taylors.
Enjoyed the outdoor restaurant for dinner. Quality food at affordable prices. Also, the continental breakfast was plentiful and quality assortment. Bonus was free access to the fitness and pool/spa facilities on site! Facilities were modern and well kept. Friendly staff made the stay even more enjoyable.
We stayed with our dog, its a pet friendly place and the staff is very kind and nice. We needed someone to watch our dog while we were out dinning and the hotel manager helped out by introducing a sitter to us. I recommend the Unicorn Skipton to familes with pets, kids :)
Could not fault this hotel in any way 10/10. Good walking distance from Skipton, staff were exceptional as was the food. Clean rooms, covid restrictions apply, fantastic view of the canals and countryside from our bedroom, in all a wonderful break and would go again
Amazing food and hospitality, central location, top quality food-will definitely return. I grew up in Skipton, and hadn’t been back for twenty years, loved both hotel and its sister hotel Napiers, which was previously called Oats, and the Bridge House.
Comfy beds, great shower and excellent breakfast. Carol and staff can't do enough for you. Hetton on tap is also an excellent pint! Everything in Skipton is easily walkable from the hotel. Will be staying again.
Excellent location for the centre of Skipton, everything was walkable from the hotel. Parking was free and car was not required as everything was walkable for town centre. Room was spacious, clean and well maintained.
Super friendly staff, the room was very clean and spacious a beautiful place to stay. The food was excellent no complaints at all we will definitely return
Exceptionally clean and very welcoming. Love the sheep. Would 100% recommend. Much preferred over a hotel and walking distance into Skipton - perfect!
