Bed super comfy, excellent shower and cooking facilities, very easy to use real fireplace. The cottage is highly recommended for a couple, particularly windsurfers, kiters and dinghy sailors. The host was very comunicative to ensure any questions were answered. Very happy indeed with the service which also included a bottle of Prosecco, an ideal welcome for weary travellers!

Sandy Feet Retreat is located in South Hayling. Located 2.4 mi from Chichester Harbor, the property features a garden and free private parking. This is a lovely house in a great location with sea views from either the lounge or the bedroom and balcony. It's in a quiet secluded road, yet it's still only a short walk to shops, pubs/restaurants and takeaways. Over the road is the seafront with the beach front railway which will take you on a mile long journey along the sea front to the funfair and amusement park, with more shops, cafe's and restaurants so there's plenty to do for all ages. This was my first visit to Hayling Island but I will gladly book it again if it's available.

46A Sea Front is located in South Hayling, 2.6 mi from Chichester Harbor, in an area where fishing can be enjoyed.
Used as a base to visit other locations. Other than long walks along the sea front didn't really see anything of the island. We wouldn't stay on the island as a holiday location. We chose it because the property rented looked and was so good and takes just a few minutes to drive off to other places. It was very quiet, not sure how busy the seafront is in summer.
Hayling island was a joy to visit, plenty to see, lovely scenery and we found it to be a very clean and safe place to visit. Eating out: The Ferryboat Inn, overlooking the lake at Sinah beach was in a lovely location with great waterside views where you can watch the boats coming & going. The staff were very polite and accomodating and the food was very good. it is dog friendly and there is a large car park, you get 3 hours free parking if you are a restauraunt patron, you ask for a qr code in the restauraunt and then present it at the machine for scanning when you leave.
very quiet and beautiful. so dog friendly. The beaches were lovely. small stones with sand. great for a dip for us and our dog. They even have doggy ice-cream. Great fish & chips for us too. the Hayling billy trail is wonderful. It's about 4 hour walk so take snacks. well worth the views. absolutely stunning. Wonderful pubs for an evening meal. we will definately be going again.
This part of the south coast is normally very busy at peak times although due to the current COVID situation visitor numbers are quite visibly reduced. However, all the shops and takeaway's are open and adhering to current government guidelines so on the plus side the queues are shorter and there is more space on the beach. Furthermore, Hayling is a much easier drive from the A27 than Selsey.
South Hayling is a lovely little place, The beaches are pebbly but the sea was lovely and blue. We had lunch in a pub called the The Olive Leaf which was absolutely fabulous and well worth a visit for food and it had a nice beer area.
We come to Hayling Island twice a year for the last 6 years, We just love being here, and would love to live here, but we have a large family who all live close to us in Kent, and it would be too much to expect them to see us a often as they do now, and as we are getting older their support is even more important

We loved absolutely everything! Better than many hotels! Spotlessly clean. Tastefully decorated. Scrumptious bed and bedding. Fantastic bathroom. Kitchen had everything you would ever need. Fridge contained milk & Prosecco (a lovely touch). Great location. We walked to the beach with picnic. Pretty garden. Coffee machine. An absolute Gem of a find. Just the absolute perfect place for a couple weekend away. We will be back!
