Amazing!
Amazing! A must see place full of history and surrounded by beautiful countryside. Didn’t want to leave. Stunning views from the top of Stirling Castle, Stirling Jail’s Observation Tower and the William Wallace Monument. Free shuttle bus every few minutes up to the monument and free to view from the outside. All historical attractions worth a visit for the view as well as the history. Stirling old town available to see on foot. Easy distance from restaurants and pubs too. Lots of nice restaurants to choose from. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Scotland. The castle is an absolute must.
The castle is an absolute must. We spent 6 hours there and enjoyed every minute. Do take the guided tour that is included in the entrance price. Get there early if you want to park at the castle although it’s not so far from the city centre - just uphill!!!Guest review byKeithUnited Kingdom - 10.0

Magical place - breathtakingly beautiful and no crowds - the locals are so nice. Killer views of Stirling Castle and the Scottish hills and valleys - the graveyard and old chapel were also fascinating and gorgeous, though sad as all graveyards tend to be. Such a wonderful town.
Such a wonderful town. So nice to be out of the big city into a smaller, quieter and quaint Scottish experience. People here are so friendly, so happy to help anytime. My hotel location was perfect, I could walk everywhere. I had free car parking which was brilliant. I found a gym nearby, I went on an awesome bicycle tour, I caught a train to Glasgow for the day. The hotel in the university grounds was both easy to find, and located in a lovely, spacious setting. On arrival the welcome was friendly and we found all the staff, especially the French lady who ran the bar, very efficient but also friendly and relaxed.
