There are some good coffee shops and there is a market which is interesting. The viaduct is impressive and now is well lit at night. Christmas lights better than Ipswich. The new landscaping around the bus station is very well done with play items for children. Room very clean and a good size. The walk in shower was great ( no clambering into a bath). Staff very friendly and breakfast was help yourself which we find suits us perfectly. It's a place with great potential, and I look forward to revisiting in a year or so. It has changed tremdously since I went to school here, and can only get better. It has such an interesting industrial history that I think it should be on the toursist map on Manchester. It has an interesting place in the development of rope, being as it was so close to Liverpool, and on the same river, so transport of the product to the port was very easy and cheap. It also has close associations with the silk industry of Macclesfield.
