If you want to be falsely accused of criminal damage by the owner then stay here, if you want to be arested and locked up for 18 for no reason stay here, there were other guests staying there but blamed me fo breaking a plant pot, I had a taxi driver freind with me at all times and will testify I did not do it, The police agreed with me and I was not charged or even cautioned they said there was no evidence and it could have been anybody, I have no criminal record and that's because I'm a good honest person, I booked 4 nights from 13,7,20 till 17,7,20, I had one nights stay and haven't even been offered a refund for the loss of 3 nights let alone an apology, when I booked on the 13,7,20 I turned up at 21.00 and she said my room was not ready, I said no problem my driver and I shall go for something to eat and come back in an hour, she gave me a key and said just let yourself in when your ready, we came back in an hour only to find you need 2 key's to gain access to the property, I banged on the door for 10 minutes, rang her time and time again but she never appeared, at 22.30 I had to book into sporting lodge at a cost of £70 for one night, so in money terms I'm £145 pounds out of pocket, and spent 18 hours in a police cell, she is the one that needs locking up from the public, there are two types of people in this world those with a moral compass and those who just don't care, even if I don't get my money back this review will rightly cost her a small fortune, I'd rather sleep in a shop doorway than stay in that hell hole.
Bad experience, I wont recommand to stay there, place not very safe, very noisy, smell of smoke, lacks of water from the roof, shower didnt work very well, two weeks waiting the owner to be refunded after having called booking service, we stayed just one night because of the lack of water so we needed to find somewhere else, the owner asked us to pay one week cleaning fees. Tourism speaking, Stockton-on-tees is not interesting.
The Globe will open in less than a year and the hotel is ideally placed for this venue. We enjoyed the walk through Green Dragon Yard and it was pleasing to see that the artwork on the wall mural had been carried out.
Stockton was well worth the visit. the Town has tried hard to make the Christmas period a good place for everyone to come. A wealth of good points on the facilities and the Market Traders were all brilliant. I will recommend the Town to everyone who will listen.
I was born there so I have a biases opinion. My experience in Stockton was good, a lot had changed there over the years since I left, a lot of the older buildings have been tore down and even some of the places where my family grew up were gone and replaced with industrial districts, so that was a bit sad, but all in all I had a good experience and the trip brought back a lot of memories.
Lovely small town by the river. Very quite. People who enjoy outdoors would love it. Can walk everywhere. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for some peace and quite from city life Food at Beefeater was good and the location was lovely. They have whitewater rafting for the brave of heart but I did not try it.
