We have friends in the village so often visit here.
We have friends in the village so often visit here. You do have to get in the car to get into Dartmouth as its quite a walk, walking down would be fine but not sure I would want to walk back. Some pretty villages nearby too. Blackpool sands is great for breakfast or lunch on the beach. Great views overlooking Blackpool sands too
Comfortable room. Lots of steps,
Blackpool Beach was fabulous and the food in the restaurant there was great.
Stoke Fleming is tricky with a car and walking, very narrow road and tight bends.
Good position for exploring South Devon.
Good position for exploring South Devon.Stoke Lodge Hotel clean, comfortable with friendly, helpful staff. Bar meals very good (did not try restaurant) . 2 pools to choose from, or try both plus jacuzzi & sauna.Pub, which serves food, & restaurant in village. Excellent pub for food at Start Bay, only a few miles down road. Good beaches nearby.Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The outdoor pool is good, well maintained and the green around this good.
The bedrooms are tired, the mattresses awful. The drinking area and the recreation room were depressing and we didn't want to spend time around the hotel.
We did not find it friendly although we were there with a small child and it wasn't very child friendly.
Lots of potential with the grounds and the pool but this hasn't had a revamp in a decade.

Stunning area if you enjoy walking, beaches and lovely villages. Plenty to do in and around Dartmouth ..the steam train, ferries and visit to Agatha Christies House, Greenways was a wonderfull day out. Village small but has a great pub for food and hospitality. We only used the car once on our 4 night trip as the transport was good when needed and we loved the walking and different trips with did via local buses, ferries and steam train.
