In a peaceful, rural location, this country house was originally built in 1845. Today, the house has been converted into a luxurious privately owned hotel with many beautiful original features. Attention to details. The Staff were so accommodating, friendly,. I can't wait to visit again.
Situated in Meir, the Weathervane Hotel is 20 minutes’ drive from Alton Towers. With a family friendly restaurant, lively bar and children’s playground, the hotel offers free parking and free Wi-Fi. Very confortable and clean. Great breakfast which was included. Restaurant attached was great value. Staff very friendly
A modern hotel in the city of Stoke-on-Trent, centrally located within the Midlands and close to Alton Towers, with excellent motorway, road links and rail links to the Northwest.. great hotel, great location, brilliant pool and gym
Holiday Inn Express Stoke-On-Trent is just off junction 15 of the M6. Snack bar / water very handy and hotel so close to Bet 365 stadium it was brilliant for match
Located just a 2-minute drive from the M6 motorway and a 30-minute drive from the Alton Towers Theme Park, the Holiday Inn Stoke on Trent is less than 10 minutes' drive from Newcastle-under-Lyme’s... Great stay at a very clean and friendly, easily accessible hotel.
Tollgate Hotel and Leisure is an Eco-friendly hotel, just a 10-minute drive from Stoke on Trent city centre. The staff were lovely, facilities great (gym, bar, restaurant). The family room was plenty big enough for our family of 5. Clean and comfy.

We enjoyed the Cultural Quarter in Hanley and had a fantastic pizza at Klays - highly recommend it! Found it difficult to navigate around though, until we established that Stoke is made up of districts. Great sports facility - Fenton Manor Sports Complex and welcoming people.
Visiting the potteries was fantastic, seeing a working pottery (Middleport) and a museum (Gladstone) showed the history of the location, Museum of stoke good place to start. wasn't impressed with the town centre however, lots of empty units
The hotel was old with tiny rooms. My bed was broken with an old thin mattress so could feel the broken bed!! There was youngsters slammin doors and shouting till gone 3am!!! Tv didnt work and no remote anyway!! Theres was white stains all over my room floor!!! The shower had no hot water!! Old mixer from the tap type!!!! The restaurant wasn't open!!! The pub round the corner from the hotel stopped serving food at 9 pm so had to have McDonald's that was full of youngsters that were kicked out!!! The town is rubbish found one place for breakfast! I wont be going back!
Too many gymnastics and sports kids with inconsiderate parents. Too many allowed in pool. Leisure staff should check children in pool and changing room. Room tiny with poor maintenance and lumpy mattress but clean. Towel rail fell down. Staff only picked up litter when pointed out. Coffee excellent and bar staff good. Staff tried to remedy problems but this hotel disappointed us. It badly needs renovation to match excellent location.
We visited Britannia Stadium and the atomospherre and hospitality was excellent. They had a specific disabled viewing area for away supporters with excellent facilities. Great experience and friendly people
We had never been to Stoke before, although I've read a fair bit of Arnold Bennett's work, also Vera Brittain, author of "Testament of Youth" came from here. We were amazed at the history we learnt while in Stoke. The pottery workers were hardy! Moorcroft was a revelation although well out of our price range. Middleport was just great and we enjoyed the whole experience. People very friendly. We found Trentham a bit much because we don't like crowds but we did enjoy the Monkey Forest. It's fascinating to see the native wildlife (squirrels, crows, blackbirds etc) alongside the monkeys.

Everything! - In all my life I have never come across such a lovely bunch of people. Myself and son were treated like royalty, nothing was too much trouble and this really made our trip so memorable. The staff even saved us from a very strange local - but that's another story! - forget chain hotels when visiting Stoke, this is the real deal and only place you need. Our sincere thanks to everyone, and we will definitely be back for Alton Towers soon.

The objective to create an aparthotel in Stoke-on-Trent is commendable because there is a lack of quality hotel accomodation there. Converting a Potbank works very well and the decor fits well with the industrial heritage of the building. The beds are very comfortable and the central location is very convenient. Taking into account that its a work in progress and judging as a standard hotel everything is fine.

I really liked that the property is just across the railway station which makes travel really convenient especially if you’re bringing in a few stuff/luggage with you. It is also less than a minute away from the bus stop that takes you to Alton Towers/City Centre. The location is simply superb. Breakfast was served in the room which was really nice and the staff were accommodating.

I booked Borough Arms Hotel by chance because I had to book in a hurry for a business trip, and because its location is somehow close to the office. The place exceeded my expectations, as I frankly expected less comfort regarding the price. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant inside the hotel is practical that I didn't have to walk to the center every evening.

basic hotel and room convenient location really friendly staff and lovely old building, the only reason I wouldn't recommend it for a romantic break is that I only saw a single room so couldn't make an informed decision on the other rooms!

Hotel rooms need serious investment and updating. Room very old and battered. Not worth what I paid. Paid half price at a premier inn to the price of this hotel and I’d say premier inn was nicer.

There was one specific waitor that was so pleasant!! Im sure his name was Richard. They were short staff and handled everything so profrssional. He is a great boost to your hotel...

This is a budget hotel, convenient for Alton Towers. Breakfast more than satisfactory. Family room is excellent value, so don't expect more than you pay for.

Close to Mcdonalds sounds daft I know but I wasn't going to pay 50 percent extra for my breakfast just because I was a hotel resident.
