Our little family fully enjoyed this break. The photos on the web site do not do this property justice. Such a gorgeous little cabin tucked away in a magical woodland full of bird life. Incredibly clean on arrival. Host really cares for the renter, We had the cabin in February around Valentine’s Day and were welcomed with a selection of a valentines sweets (which the kids enjoyed). stunning location, great cabin, all you need for a break.

Strathpeffer is a pretty little village with a challenging golf course, lots of walks of varying lengths, a local village shop (morrison's) and a good eating place with deli (Deli in the Square). The Old Station Cafe and ice cream shop are both to be recommended. It is the ideal location for road trips around the countryside above Inverness. The Black Isle, Loch Ness, Gairloch, Ullapool, Tain and Dornoch all within easy reach. Plenty to keep you going for a week or two.
There was nothing that I really liked at The Highland Hotel though staff did their job as well as they knew. There is clearly no training of staff. The first glimpse of the dining room at dinner is of staff clearing plates at a central area - rather off-putting I thought. Food is atrocious - clearly no trained chef in charge. Breakfast, at best, lukewarm and totally disorganised. Coffee and tea urn were not refilled when empty. Bedroom antiquated with fitting and furnishing in a bad state of repair.
Had a wonderful stay in strathpeffer me and my family had a lovely holiday, its a quiet place which is what we need it's not far from Inverness which we enjoyed and also the Highlands national beauty, strathpeffer is a place to stay if you like a quiet surroundings.
Great location to travel to many places, lovely village very safe and friendly locals many local things to do by walking short distances.,bowls club, tennis club ,local maize. We dined 5 miles away in dingwall many choices.
The owners- Fiona & Andrew were meticulous in everything they did to make sure our stay with them was perfect. They supplied honey from the bees in their 3 hives, washed our clothes, left wonderful tasting mints in the room, left a bottle in our room so that my husband could have a “wee” dram before going to sleep, offered us the perfect room and most comfortable bed with perfect scenery of the gardens and mountains! We will definitely be coming back!
Strathpeffer is a beautiful small village in the highlands near Inverness. A quiet spot away from the hustle and bustle, has a Victorian feel, very pretty dainty village with a lovely Delinkn the square.
Strathpeffer
The property is in a very central location of Strathpeffer & within easy reach of other various locations, set in beautiful gardens, also Fiona was lovely, very welcoming & very attentive for all needs, breakfast was included & nothing was too much of a bother, top host. The room was spacious, spotless & had all amenities on hand, will definitely be back for another visit. You can also visit the local hotel Ben Wyvis for dinner which Fiona would happily book for you, definitely 5 star rating.
Strathpeffer
The location of Strathview was beautiful in the small town of Strathpeffer. The hosts Victoria and Rob were so welcoming and nothing was too much bother. The room was so comfortable, had everything we needed and lovely personal touches. The breakfast was fantastic - so much to choose from. We will definitely be back and would love to stay for longer to enjoy the lovely garden.
Strathpeffer
A lovely and spacious "cottage" all on one level with furnished lounge and separate dining room, as well as the kitchen, with breakfast bar and all the cooking equipment required. Nice bedrooms, lovely bathroom and a nice garden too. Some milk in the fridge when we arrived was also most welcome. Would have liked to stay 2 nights but we had other plans.
