They made our trip worth every second, every penny. It was my husband's birthday and they made sure that we have the time of our life. The bathtub was so beautiful. It felt like being a royal person and living like one. The coffee machine was so good. And the staffs were so welcoming and they gave us a warm welcome. I'm really planning to go there again.

Everything! A beautiful old building, with charm and character, but also modern facilities and service. We loved the ambience in the bar and the welcome drink was indeed welcome!. Dinner in the restaurant was superb, as was the breakfast, fresh cooked to order. The rooms in the townhouse were lovely and well appointed - great warm shower and bath products. The staff were friendly, welcoming and efficient. The location, just a short walk to the marina in one direction and the city centre in the other was great too, as was the free parking right opposite the hotel.

FAQs about hotels in Swansea

Green Gateway to the Gower

Upon seeing Swansea for the first time, it hits you just how green it is, especially when viewed from Kilvey Hill. On a clear day the views stretch as far as sweeping Swansea Bay and even the undulating Mumbles headland at the edge of the Gower Peninsula - the UK’s first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with unspoilt beaches.

The Gower is also known for its castles, including Oystermouth Castle and Loughor Castle, overlooking the city from a hilltop. Swansea itself also has castle ruins which are Grade I listed, as is the Guildhall with its lavish interior frescoes.

Most historic city centre buildings were sadly lost during World War II, but the elegant Grand Theatre survived, as did Dylan Thomas’ childhood home in Uplands. The Swansea Museum – the oldest in Wales – is opposite the National Waterfront Museum and the LC indoor waterpark.

Offshore conditions are good for kitesurfing, and the marina shelters yachts overlooked by Wales’ tallest building: The Tower, Meridian Quay. The nearby SA1 Waterfront complex is becoming popular for its bars and restaurants, while shopping options include a covered market and the Morfa Shopping Park by Liberty Stadium, home to the city’s football and rubgy union teams.

Booking.com’s Swansea accommodation includes luxury hotels, cheap apartments and guest houses with parking.

Had a good wonder around swansea market. meals out at bracelet bay and nines restaurant food was a bit cool but cooked to perfection and a good selection. Parking was a pain as if you were at caswell bay, there was no signal to pay. would I go again ..yeah as soon as I can.

Swansea is on the coastline, it should be enjoyable.

Swansea is on the coastline, it should be enjoyable. I didn't see any beaches though, just brown sand and lots of rocks by the ocean. Every time I stepped out and I only went to a Tesco superstore near the Marina, I was followed and hounded by clueless and delusional creeps selling drugs, which is illegal. They would stink up the areas I was walking by with Marijuana; it was disgusting! I wish I had visited the Swansea Marina, the ruins from the Castle and the waterfall. The bad guys were everywhere including in the places I stayed. I wanted to buy a new handbag and some electronics but I felt nauseated at the prospect of going out, so I didn't buy anything. From one of the apartments I stayed, I could see people walking to participate in the Scavenger Hunts they had during the summer. There was also an event at a parking lot across the street that I decided not to go for safety reasons. Traveling is certainly no longer the fun it used to be.

We loved the market in Mumbles, Joe's Icecream Parlour and the "Funky Market" in the hall up the road from the seafront. It is easy to get around Swansea/Mumbles; the road signage is excellent. The road surfaces, however, were as uneven and potholed as practically anywhere else in the UK. We are definitely not a "young couple", sorry - but we did visit the large shops at Forestfach. We did not take any photos - again, sorry - you youngsters will just have to come to Swansea/Mumbles to discover its features for yourself.* *Especially Joe's Icecream Parlour - a must for our every visit!

It is an ok place to visit .

It is an ok place to visit . My 7 year old and I found things to do. We noted whilst we had breakfast looking out over Kingsway that 4 street cleaning machines (( or the same one) passed us 4 times on a Sunday morning and one man picking up litter in the space of 1.5 hours. There are many things we did not have time to see as my daughter wanted to go climbing at Flashpoint and can highly recommend this.

Very pleased with this hotel choice for a one night stay in Swansea. We were warmly welcomed at reception and all of the hotel staff we encountered were extremely friendly ( especially Lynn who was looking after guests at breakfast) As our room was ready when we arrived early, we were able to check in straightaway which gave us some extra time to explore the local area. The hotel location is ideal- close to the marina and the city centre but also offering easy access to the beach and bay side promenade.

Good value for money, clean with a comfortable bed. First 2 nights v. quiet. Tea,/coffee making facilities plus TV, own bathroom. Great location with coffee shops, express supermarkets, pubs in the vicinity and 20 mins walk to city centre. Cleaner than quite a few hotels I've stayed at in Swansea (well done Donna the cleaner). Would possibly stay again, though the low price maybe attracts a certain clientele....so would have to think hard about it.

Beautiful self-contained house/flat on a quiet street with plenty of on-street parking, conveniently situated about a 20 min walk from Swansea centre. The flat itself was very clean and I had a great night's sleep. Everything is very bright and airy. Nice to have a fridge. Sloping ceilings mean walking around is a bit awkward but no real problem. Good hot shower downstairs. Really great value for money and a way better alternative to hotels.
