What a well run hotel. The staff were efficient and the whole place was well managed. The room we had was a generous size with a super comfortable king size bed. It was warm and soundproof with a lovely view of Ben Lomond and the Loch. The room was carefully thought out with plenty of charge and power points. The bathroom was clean and modern with plenty of hot water. Dinner and breakfast were both excellent.

we stayed at the Village inn for 4 nights, everything was simply amazing, VERY cozy room, the bed is comfortable, spotless toilet with soap, shampoo, shower gel and hand cream. The food is so fresh and delicious, I can’t recommend the grilled chicken burger enough!. Special thanks to Jason and his great team.

The location of this house is stunning - right on the lake shore, offering the best place to take a morning stroll or, even better, a kayak ride (if you brought your own kayak). Hamish, the general manager, was filling in as bartender. He was SO friendly and welcoming! He spent several hours chatting everybody up and making the atmosphere wonderful. We loved his banter with his English friend haha This location was great and every staff member went out of their way to say hello and chat. Highly recommend!

    There's not much in Tarbet, apart from the Hotel and a good restaurant, but its convenient for the Loch, and its on a junction of the main roads, so there's good access to other parts. There is a bus stop that the long distance bus services stop at. Loch boat trips depart from the pier. The Tarbet Hotel is a great place to stay. The Kirk 'o the Lochs is a good place to eat.

    One could take a nice wander around Tarbet but a car is needed to explore the lakes, castles and countryside around and about. It's an ideal location, to discover and walk and the views are wonderful; the air is so clean. There is a shop nearby, but limited so you need to be organised with provisions.

    The hotel proved a convenient location on the A.82 by Loch Lomond. The breakfast offered a variety of cooked and cold dishes. However, the hotel was generally 'tired' and there were clearly not enough staff on duty both for evening dinner and especially at breakfast time when a single 'stressed' young lady was tsasked with table allocation, serving and clearing tables (although main food was self-service).

    I was only stopping in Tarbet breaking my journey from Oban.

    I was only stopping in Tarbet breaking my journey from Oban. However I have stayed in the area twice before. There is a railway connection and you can take a ferry across Loch Lomond to the Inversnaid Hotel.

    The relaxed atmosphere and stunning views. Inside the hotel is stunning . Easy to find and perfectly placed for a relaxing break. Took a boat tour on the loch then chilled on the outdoor seating watching the world go by.

    The reservation system was difficult and it was very difficult to get the hotel itself to communicate and understand. I had to enlist the corporate office in order to work it out. The front desk clerk at check in is rude. The young girl bartender is untrained. The food staff is unprofessional and disengaged. The evening bar music penetrates the room - making it difficult to sleep. Not all amenities were in the room and had to be asked for. The coffee maker didn't work. The building is beautiful, but without friendly staff it has lost all ambiance. Clearly, there is no corporate attempt to train staff to cater to the traveling public.

    I loved the location. Fabulous old property over 400 years old, but modern and comfortable on the inside. Great staff, who were very friendly, helpful and welcoming. Great spacious room. Very comfortable bed, pillows and bedding. Super quiet location. Nice selection of food and great bar service. I can’t fault the Tarbet Hotel and look forward to checking in again, in the near future.

    Loved the hotel, great location and staff were very friendly and helpful. We took our dog and she had the best sleep and was allowed in the resturaunt with us, such a bonus! Our room was very clean and the bed so comfortable. We had dinner and breakfast, both had excellent variety and fresh produce, we will definately be back!

    Great to see the progress being made in refurbishing this iconic hotel and building. There is a certain way to go with this. The bedroom decor and windows still need further work, but the bed was very comfortable and the bathroom all worked and was good. Breakfast was great

    Lovely and cosy house in a handy location for Tarbet and Luss. Close to the Loch and some nice walks. The house was exceptionally clean and comfy. The kitchen had everything we needed. A lovely stay.
