Set in Tewkesbury, The Royal Hop Pole Wetherspoon features a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. We loved that it is a historic building, and our room was above a recently renovated medieval dining hall. This Georgian manor house set on the crest of a hill affords stunning 360 degree views of the surrounding area and has an indoor pool and a gym. An exceptional hotel! From the moment I arrived to the moment I left, everything was perfect and everyone was so welcoming. I stayed on a dinner, bed and breakfast basis and I am so glad I did. All the meals were of a very high standard and the breakfast was magnificent. 5 stars from me!

Privately owned and a 5-star Visit England awarded property, the historic Jessop House is an award winning Georgian Townhouse located in the heart of Tewkesbury, located just 1-minute from Tewkesbury... We all liked the room, the facilities in it, the staff and owner, the breakfast, the decor and the cleanliness. And the location.

Alum House is located in Tewkesbury and offers a garden and barbecue facilities. The property is 9.9 mi from Gloucester and free private parking is available. Alum House is a great quirky property and as others have already mentioned, the spiral staircase could prove challenging for some, so worth bearing in mind. But the two separate areas provide privacy for couples travelling together which of course also make it very cost effective. The shower room and toilet although small, are adequate and clean and I believe are to be upgraded in the near future. The host very kindly provided tea/coffee/milk etc. along with biscuits and cereal, none of which I expected so that was a lovely surprise and a great bonus. Apparently this cannot be advertised on the site for some very peculiar reason which is a shame because it's a helpful fact. Tewksbury itself is within easy walking distance with any number of eating and drinking places to choose from. It is also in a lovely part of the country with plenty of places to explore nearby. I would recommend this property and would definitely return

Tewkesbury is a quaint little place with Tudor houses and a beautiful Abbey well worth a visit. Plenty of shops, restaurants and cafes. The theatre is also a great place to see live shows. Finding somewhere to stay is very easy.
Abbey is superb and walks by the Avon fine in good weather. This is not a big town and some buildings are now looking a bit shabby , but it is historic and is a good base for exploring the area between Gloucester/ Worcester and the Cotswolds.
Nice relaxing town. Pay a visit to the Abbey, its been there 900 years this year and is well worth the visit. Plenty of pubs with character and real ales, lovely walk along the river. Variety of restaurants and cafes.
We found that Tewkesbury was a very pleasant town. For a small town, we liked the Abbey and the shops, also a good place to use as a Touring Base. I certainly would only book on a Bed & Breakfast Basis .
I think what u expect for a town full of history and complex buildings is completely lost as the town looks to be dying on its feet. When u have to say the best pub in town is the Wetherspoons that tells u that what else is on offer is very poor with little real ale choice . The Indian we chose was superb in every way re the food / service but an overcharge of £9 was attempted so u must check your bill
Parts of Tewkesbury were quite nice and the Abbey is lovely however feel that a day trip is sufficient High street was disappointing-a lot of charity shops with a few independent shops which were quite nice. We walked along the river to the Abbey which was a lovely walk and there are some historic buildings which are interesting. A few hours is long enough to see what the town has to offer.
The room was tastefully decorated and the bed was extremely comfortable. The interior design throughout the hotel was beautiful and had a luxury feel to it. The food we ate in the evening at Mint Restaurant was delicious and the service was professional and friendly at all times.
We have stayed at the hotel before so knew what to expect and it was pretty much how we remembered it pre covid All the staff very helpful especially Ella in the restaurant on Saturday evening and the shift leader on reception on arrival and departure - thanks

First class hosts, room, facilities and breakfast. The best overnight stay we had on our 7 day tour of Wales and England.
Very good as usual. We always use this hotel on our cycle touring holidays. Lovely pub garden by the river.

Quirky, cosy character cottage, but with modern kitchen and bathroom. The place was spotless! Loved the secluded outdoor space and brilliant location. Nice touches included new magazines and fresh milk.
