The caravan is very spacious, plenty of room in the open plan kitchen living room, nice terrace too and the kitchen is fully equipped if you like cooking. The walk to the seafront is about 45 minutes but you can always order a cab as well. Location of the caravan is right next to all facilities on camp which is very big. The owner who greeted us and gave us the keys was very nice and friendly which frankly started our experience on a very positive note. Highly recommend this place, you'll be surprised about what is has to offer.

A pretty little village with pubs and restaurants. Quaint old high street but not very well lit at night. We went out for a walk but it was a bit dark in places. Close to coastal resorts and local amenities. We ate at the Rose and Crown (where we stayed) and would recommend it.
We like the little town of Thorpe le sokem. Central for Frinton. Shame it is a busy road with traffic using it through the night. Quaint little church a small Tesco store nearby. A few restaraunts in the town.
nice little village. tesco express local. chinese was great in village.nice friendly pubs. easy access to the sea.very relaxing break. our dog walked some serious miles so did we. beaches lovely went fossiling at the naze in walton. frinton nice town with lots of shop eateries etc.
The peace and privacy were the big things for me, as well as the unexpected glory of the garden in which the lodges are situated. I travelled to Thorpe le Soken fom Liverpool for my sister's 50th birthday celebrations. This was a huge garden event with marquee, and many guests, so my experience isn't one of finding my way around solo. I was picked up and brought back, with most of my time spent with my sister, and her family and friends. Garden Lodges was perfect for me from this perspective. There is a very glamorous health spa opposite, for travellers to know!
I think its a lovely little place very relaxing a good place to go to unwind. The bus service is pretty good you can easily bus to clacton or nereby frinton. There are also some nice little restarents in the village.
Beautiful clean room, comfy bed & good en-suite. Some of the ingredients used for breakfast let it down a little (bread, butter, OJ), but the cooked elements were delicious & bar food was excellent too.
Thorpe le Soken
We chose this hotel because it's close to the Harwich international harbour where we had to catch an early morning ferry. However I understand it's also a nice placer a longer stay stay as there is a beautiful beach nearby. My expectations were nothing special but I was impressed by the comfort and appearance of the room (the rooms seem quite new) and also by the quality of the dinner (delicious homemade steak and guiness pie) we had in the pub downstairs. Very kind and friendly personnel.
Thorpe le Soken
The room was extremely clean. Very comfortable and cosy. The hotel is very quirky and the owners have embraced this. Although the room was decorated in a modern way the original features were allowed to shine through. Breakfast was excellent, obviously freshly made and very tasty. Staff were extremely polite, attentive and helpful. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel as a place to stay or if you have accommodation elsewhere, it's a gorgious place to go for a meal out.
