Providing garden views, a garden and free WiFi, Jago Cottage is located in Truro, 20 km from Truro Cathedral and 12 km from Tregothnan. Shane was a fantastic host. I arrived very late and she stayed up to welcome me in. The double room had an ensuite and the bed was very comfortable. I was most impressed with how tidy the room and bathroom were. Shane also cooked a great breakfast in the morning. Would definitely recommend!

Featuring a garden, Hare's Hut provides accommodation in Truro with free WiFi and garden views. A beautiful little hut with all the space used well to ensure it had everything to make our stay comfortable. Brilliant location with perfect views to wake up to and easy access to surrounding towns. The hosts were very friendly and approachable
Attractive and interesting. Went to the tea rooms in the Corn Hall. Staff were friendly and the setting was impressive. Had lunch at Mannings where the food was excellent. Shopping Centre was varied including many independent shops. New car park arrangements by the bridge need rethinking as traffic wanting to exit right became caught up with the traffic lights and compromised the barrier. We sat for 25 minutes waiting to exit, along with numerous other vehicles!
The cathedral was beautiful and interesting, also the museum is worth a visit which has an excellent tea room/ restaurant. Lots of coffee shops and good selection of shops. Rain during our visit so we didn’t take the planned boat trip but in good weather this would be worth doing.
First visit to Cornwall, really beautiful place with outstanding scenery. Will definitely return and stay at county arms in Truro, lovely surroundings, nice clean spacious rooms and staff that go out of there way to help
Truro is a good central point from which to explore the area. There are some very good National Trusts, gardens, beaches and walks nearby. We especially liked Falmouth...a quintessential Cornish town with lots to experience in the area.
We are regular visitors to Truro but discovered new places near Townhouse Rooms. The Thomas Daniell is an excellent bistro pub with the best gin cocktails and Bustopher Jones is a relaxed friendly restaurant, locally sourced ingredients and excellent customer service. Highly recommend all.
Never got to Truro itself but surrounding area is beautiful! Would recommend The Lost Gardens of Heligan and Eden project though Eden does get busy! If you are feeling flush go to The Seafood Restaurant in Padstow! Amazing food, helpful staff and perfect for a special occasion!

It was reasonably close to the city centre and was on the main ring road, which nevertheless was quite quiet for a city.It was good, but not exceptional. The staff were OK, but seemed to busy to chat for any length. Breakfast was good, but you had to make your own tea. OK, got it at a good price as I booked just after Christmas. Truro seemed a quiet city for my liking, but handsome in some ways. Falmouth seemed more interesting to me, being only 10 miles away. Good but not special.

Great location, very dog friendly with a dog friendly welcome pack, including information about the local area, walks, dog friendly restaurants, including some free treats and poo bags for your dog. There was also a great heated dog shower outside with shampoo for us to use. They also serve free tea and coffee with a slice of cake when you check in, in the lounge area. Very happy with this hotel. The beds were very comfortable and one of the best night's sleep we've had.

This was the best guest house I have ever stayed in. The single room was perfect located at the rear of the property away from the main road. The breakfast amazing with a great choice and my room with ensuite was suitable for one person travelling like myself. The parking at the back was perfect and secure. I was greeted before I even got out the car and shown straight to my room. I definitely recommend this guest house to anyone staying in Truro.

Very convenient base to explore Truro and the surrounding area. So clean and comfy, furnished with the best of everything. You can relax after a long day out or a day at work. If you don’t mind microwaved food you can cook for yourselves. Lovely and warm on arrival. Free parking. Quiet, bed is so comfortable. So many little extras, Chris and Emma have thought of everything.

The room was really big and clean and it had everything we needed. The staff were really helpful as I had a 8 month old baby with me. It was quiet at night and the bed was perfect. The food was very good 😁👍 Walking distance to Truro which was great. Would definitely stay there again and would highly recommend this hotel.

Really nice style, marrying an old traditional feeling hotel with modern elements. Staff were very friendly and eager to please. The windows were open with a fan running to circulate the air, before I even arrived. Water pressure is good and a refreshing shower is certainly welcomed!

Perfect location in Truro, legitimately next door to the Cathedral, so no need to set an alarm 😛 breakfast was awesome and the bar downstairs had a good vibe also
Good location for centre of Truro and for exploring Cornwall’s north and south coasts. Nice size garden to sit in and good car parking space

Best breakfast in the world! Amazing hosts, supercomfy beds. Great location and absolutely quiet. A lot of tips on things to do around Cornwall and beyond. Fresh towels every day. Bathrobes!!! We booked a menu on the first night and you can’t possibly put in words what we experienced. Not only was ist perfectly fit to our likes but it was superfresh, supertasty and the hosts made it feel like you would come home from a long journey. So relaxing. In the end we were even allowed to play with the poodles which made dessert even more memorable. All in all I am convinced that there is no better place to spend your vacation. And even if there was, I wouldn’t go there without Brenda and Robin. Bonus info: In the garden there lives the ugliest but cutest lonely pig in the world. Make sure to pay him and his feathery friends a visit
