Just 10 minutes’ drive from Gatwick Airport, Europa Gatwick Hotel & Spa features a modern leisure club and restaurant. I like the fact that I did not heard the next door customer because the walls between rooms are thick!!. Also a receptionist with a pony tail dark hair was so adorable!, she was very helpul and smiling.
Turners Hill sits in a good place with restaurants all around. Gets a lot of cyclists in summer, which some find a pain. Not far from glorious countryside, and the town of East Grinstead, which is well worth a visit. It has steam trains as well as an old church. Numerous other attractions too.
We were visiting Standen House - a National Trust property just a few miles away. It’s an Arts and Crafts house by architect Philip Webb and famous designer William Morris. This is well worth the trip.. Can’t say much about Turners Hill - but it looked quite lovely
Nice staff but long delay for dinner which was over priced. Nice location but very annoyed to pat £60 for breakfast for me and my 2adult children. Staff seemed under pressure to serve in the garden delays in getting orders.
We loved this area. Miswells Cottages was about a ten minute walk from the village which had a well stocked general store as well as the two pubs which provided great dining options. There were ample of opportunities to walk through the countryside along the public footpaths. We didn’t have a car but were fortunate to have relatives nearby who took us around this beautiful area. There is a bus service from Turners Hill to East Grinstead, etc
Make sure the hotel staff confirm upgrades etc as it is disappointing when your expectations are so high especially on my birthday to get what wasn't expected. We had a junior suite that was nothing like the pics. No double luxury bath or waterfall shower! However the bed was nice, room service and champagne bar. We also enjoyed the spa
Firstly the room I was allocated had no air conditioning, stuffy and hot, it had a noisy extractor fan that made so much noise I couldn't seep. The clock in the bedroom was the wrong time which means the room has not been used for a long time. The door of the room was chipped at the top and bottom. the desk and chair was also very worn and chipped away. It felt as if I had booked a hostel room to stay in. The spa/swimming pool floor was very dirty and not cleaned with lots of towels lying around on beds that were not occupied. The steam room and sauna were in the changing rooms so I was not able to use these services with my partner. When we checked out there was a discrepancy of charges, someones had put their drinks and dinner onto our room charges, this did not make the checking out process smooth.
Beautiful hotel and location Staff very friendly Clean Spa area fantastic
