Richard showed us round and we enjoyed a gin and tonic together. The setting is beautiful and remote. Great cooking facilities, We enjoyed making use of the pizza oven. Large comfortable bed. Unfortunately due to the weather, we didn’t get to enjoy a swim in the lake but hope to return and do this next time. Thanks so much Richard.

Hosts were easy to contact while on site as live in adjacent house, and very friendly and considerate. They were good about distancing and ensured our privacy. The tent was very well equipped, and with constant hot water. The ambiance is great as the tent is set in a meadow with many wildflowers, birds and butterflies. The view if the church and village is very special.

The stone cottage was cute and well-equipped (we so appreciated the scones, clotted cream and jam on arrival!) everything was clean and the pictures are accurate. Our host was lovely. I would say you definitely need a car, and need to be comfortable with driving the tiny Devon lanes, but for us that just added to the fun. We enjoyed walking the meadows and lanes nearby, although it is a fair hike to the local pub. We enjoyed the remote setting and it added to our trip. Would have loved access to the larger yard as it looks so inviting, but the courtyard off the downstairs was a lovely outdoor option.

Set in 4 acres of Devonshire countryside, The Roost - The Cottages at Blackadon Farm is located less than 3 miles from Ivybridge. Superb accommodation, tastefully furnished and comfortable, peaceful and very efficient central heating. I appreciated the contact from the owner immediately after booking, before arrival and during our stay. Very Covid aware and very clean. We are a couple of seniors and we felt safe, and warm. Plenty to do in the area, or just relax in the homely accommodation with the good sized TV. Would recommend this accommodation for a stay at any time of the year and it was just what we wanted in todays stressful environment . Thank you to Ryan and all who we came in contact with. Good fish n chip shop in Ivybridge and various pubs in the area. We will be back in the future.!
