Located in Ulverston, Low Fell offers accommodation with free WiFi and flat-screen TV, as well as a shared lounge and a garden. There is a seating and a dining area in all units. Me and a friend had a lovely stay here last night after a week hiking the Cumbria Way. It's a beautiful old cottage, lovingly restored in a wonderful location by an equally lovely couple. The owner Peter greeted us at our car on arrival and carried all our bags up to the room. After a quick tour of their home he made us a very welcome pot of tea bought to one of the 2 lounges they have for their guests to relax in. We had a lovely 4 poster bed and very nice ensuite with an amazing shower!! We would definitely recommend this B&B and hope to return one day. Thanks again for a lovely stay Kirsty & Sarah xx

Ulverston is a quirky, characterful town with lots going on. It's away from the tourist hot spots, but close enough to visit Coniston and Windermere/ Ambleside. There's a station.....so hop on a train to tour the coast. Independent shops and a street market. A number of good eating places. Try Lal Churrasco for tapas. Walk to Canal Foot to gaze across the estuary and feed the swans. Stroll up to the John Barrow memorial on the Hoad for wider views across to Lancashire and away to the fells in the north.
Ulverstone is an an amazing place to visit. My husband and I go 4 times a year on a work trip. There are plenty of restaurants. The kings arms is so welcoming and serve great food. The sun inn also has an amazing vegan menu, including a vegan breakfast menu if you stay there. I would not recommend staying there, the rooms are not nice or safe to stay in. Ulverstone has everything you need, everything in walking distance.
A quiet and calm village, I feel to say. Friendly atmos. Shops are less But the real views of Lake district starts after a 20-30mins drive to NOrth of Ulverston. This is a place you can enjoy farm stays
Ulverston is beautiful and it has a good variety of shops and eating places, we went for the Dickensian weekend, but unfortunately due to storm Arwen, a lot of the stalls didn't turn up, it was still a great weekend though.
Beautiful place with lots of beautiful shops.I don't think the locals knew what to make of my friend and I.We were laughing and having g fun and got a few death stares. At one point I thought we might have inadvertently gone to Royston Vasey. Still would go again.
Ulverston sometimes gets bypassed because it's not in the national park but it is well worth a visit. It has lovely cafes - good range of options for veggies and vegans, quirky independent shops along a cobbled main street, lots of pubs, an independent cinema, a traditional in-door market and good places for walking. It's not safe to swim in the sea but the beach walks are a nice bonus, especially combined with a visit to Roy's ice cream van or a drink at the Olde Mill.

Fantastic location a minutes walk from the centre of Ulverston. Parking very close by. The cottage is very understated from the outside, inside is light and spacious and very clean. Perfect space for a family of 4. Downstairs is a bedroom and bathroom, upstairs the kitchen, living/dining space and further double bedroom. It was cold when we first arrived but the heating is very efficient and soon warmed up the space. Hand sanitizer as you walk through the front door and the track and trace sheet is reassuring covid touch too.

Centrally located in Ulverston and within easy access of the Lakes. Ample car parking within 50 metres in Council cars parks very reasonably priced. Loads of pubs , restraints and shops. The hidden gem is the Roxy cinema which is an old style retro picture house, independently run and loads cheaper than the big boys. It also house the Laurel and Hardy museum the former being from the town. Apartment had all we needed for a comfortable stay self catering or eating out. Gilliams coffee house is also worth a visit.

Lovely friendly hosts! Our room was clean and modern, the bed was sooo comfy and the shower was powerful and easy to use. There were nice little extras such as water and biscuits. The breakfast was as good as any hotel we have been to and I can highly recommend the smashed avocado. Perfect location in Ulverston for anything you'll want to see and do. We'll definitely stay again in the future :)

Immaculately clean and comfortable, v close to town centre yet quiet. Compact yet had everything needed. Cleverly thought out, Included tea, coffee, milk, plates, bowls, cups, crockery. Enough to make basic breakfast or even a sandwich. Lively little patio area, which seemed to be a 24 hour sun trap. Owners v friendly, yet didn’t intrude.

Location was excellent - 1 minute fromm the town centre and quiet. Facilities were superb - very much a home-from-home and fully equipped. All the essentials were also in place (dishwasher tabs, washing up liquid etc) so I hope my contribution of laundry liquid (I had muddy cycling kit to deal with) added to the stoocks :)
