NIKSA Serviced Accommodation - Welwyn Garden City Business Park in Welwyn Garden City has accommodations with free WiFi, 5.2 miles from Hatfield House, 7.9 miles from Knebworth House and 16 miles from... The apartment was modern and bright. The beds were very comfortable. The showers worked well. The kitchen was well equipped. It was spotless apart from two baking trays in the oven which had obviously just been overlooked when the cleaning had been done. There was on-site free parking. It was very quiet - we couldn't hear noises from adjoining apartments. It's a few minutes by car from the centre of Welwyn Garden City. It could probably be walked in 10 minutes. Communications with the owners were efficient - using Booking.com's messaging system. Would recommend.
StayZo Cole Green Lane Accommodation- FREE Parking offers accommodations in Welwyn Garden City, 9.2 miles from Knebworth House and 15 miles from Cockfosters Tube Station. Comfortable & clean house which had everything we needed for our 2 night stay. Good location with nice pub plus local shops and transport links
Reception is in the bar, who were busy serving drinks but came to check us in as soon as one had a moment. Very friendly and helpful. The restaurant/bar was very loud with giant sports TVs blaring out for cheering patrons, we didn’t stay to enjoy this as we wanted a quiet relaxing drink so didn’t get to enjoy ‘the View’. However the room was clean, practical and comfy. Good facilities with iron and board, hairdryer and kettle. Bottled water was a nice touch. We had a downstairs room and could hear feet stamping above but was bearable for how short we were in the room. Slept well, had a good breakfast and check out was 10am... would have preferred 11am having been at a wedding the night before but the cleaner banging away next door made sure we were up, lol! Overall it was a good stay and great if we could play golf as the course is literally on your doorstep.
We were very dissapointed. When we arrived at 4pm the room was cold as the window was open ,even though it was cold outside and no heating avalible. The bed was absolutely awful ,it was so hard and there is no way it was a double, more like a small double. We were on holiday from work and by the time we woke in the morning at 8am the heating was off again ,it was to cold to shower. I would of cancelled for the next day ,but unfortunately we did not see any staff ,as we went back to the property after the pub had closed. We would never stay here again as not comfortable and too cold .
Beautiful flowers everywhere make it worth a visit. Bill's restaurant for lunch & Bebos for breakfast are highly recommended. Shopping centre is great with nicely kept areas to enjoy the ambience.
They made me welcome reception & breakfast room was comfortable & loved having soak bath as where I’m renting only have shower. Slept well as quiet no traffic passing night. I went into town evening dined with friend zizzi Italian restaurant but there’s also Bills others restaurants there shopping centre, lake & they have cinema & Better Gosling gym if want exercise
It is a cute town with it’s own personality. There is a bakery nearby the hotel along with a few other shops and there are buses that make it easy to get to the train station, which is located in the town centre. The station is connected to a shopping centre, which makes it easy to pass time while waiting for your train. I like how there is a train that takes you all the way to King’s Cross in London, that way you can combine your stay in Welwyn Garden City with a trip to the capital as well.
Very confusing roads, found it hard to get around, find reasonable parking, and no good tourist map that I could find. As I was here to visit an aunt in St. Andrews I only visited the Howard centre twice and a couple of really nice restaurants.
Our stay was very comfortable. The room and bathroom were larger than average and the staff was very kind to help us with all our requests. The beds are very comfortable. There is a free car park right in front of the hotel. We didn't have breakfast, but it looked delicious. This is more of a bed and breakfast type of atmosphere, but for anyone looking to spend the night in Welwyn Garden City comfortably, this is a good place. I would stay here again.
Our room was small but adequate, very clean and everything you needed. Staff were helpful and friendly. We had breakfast which was delicious. The bar was above the bedrooms and has a lovely veranda overlooking the golf course and lovely Views. A pleasant 10 minute walk down the side of the golf course and cross the road to sister hotel Tewin Bury Farm, which is beautiful, so we decided to stay there the next night.
The property was right in the centre of Welwyn garden city and within easy reach of pubs, shops and car parks. It was very clean and comfortable.
