A 3-minute drive from Looe, the 18th-century Polraen Country House Hotel offers well-appointed rooms and an award-winning range of breakfasts. The proprietors were very helpful and friendly, the bed was very comfortable in a large very clean room and ensuite, the breakfast was excellent with so much to choose from, would recommend it to anyone, just a few minutes drive into Looe
The Portbyhan Hotel is situated on the quayside overlooking the picturesque Cornish fishing port of Looe. I booked the last room available at the hotel. It was a family room but very reasonable. Although booked for two persons, illness meant I travelled alone. The hotel was a few minutes walk from the railway station and overlooked the centre of Looe with fine views of the harbour quay between. My room was on the second floor and had a side window with views along West Looe and the quayside. The room contained a double and single bed in a comfortable, spacious room with bathroom and shower. There was plenty of storage and a generous hospitality tray. The buffet breakfast was first rate with a very friendly, helpful cook preparing freshly fried eggs, etc, on demand. The evening meals were well presented and the dining area very comfortable without crowding. There is also a 2nd level outside seating area for pleasant evening dining. The staff were very helpful and friendly at all times. The hotel seems very popular and I look forward to returning again before too long.
Overlooking the English Channel, the Hannafore Point Hotel boasts luxurious rooms, a terrace restaurant and 2 bars. Leisure facilities include a spa and an indoor pool. Breakfast was wonderful and the staff was top-notch - friendly, professional and welcoming without being obtrusive. The hotel is in a great location - beautiful scenery and convenient to town without being right in the middle of it.
Situated in Looe, 37 km from St Austell, Marthys Bed & Breakfast features a garden and free WiFi. Paul and Tina were very welcoming and you felt at home immediately. The bedroom/bathroom was spotless and the breakfast excellent - plenty to eat and well cooked. Easy parking and close to Looe. We would highly recommend this B&B.
Situated in Looe, 1.2 km from Hannafore, Deganwy Hotel features accommodation with a bar, free private parking and a terrace. This 4-star guest house offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. We had a fantastic stay with Donna and Dave! It exceeded all expectations! One of the best B&Bs we have ever stayed in. Wonderful hosts who are passionate about what they do. One special touch we really loved was the fact that we didn’t get a room with riverview - so we got a table right at the window for breakfast. You guys are wonderful! Thank you from Louise and Ole
Set in Looe in the Cornwall region, with Hannafore nearby, Sawyers Bed and Breakfast offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. we were very impressed from the moment of arrival, very relaxed, nothing was too much trouble and very comfortable and clean room with lovely sea views. would definately stay again!

Looe is a beautiful place but very hilly with narrow winding streets. The beach is fabulous for all ages, sandy one end and rock pools the other. We have visited Looe several times and never tired of its charm and friendliness.
Very pleasant seaside town. In the summer fishing and boat trips are available. Great place to go for the fireworks New Years eve too. Fish and Chips good from the catch of the day places. Fairly traffic free streets to wander around. Plenty of shops for clothes, fishing tackle, pasties. Easy to spend a day there if the weather is good. Pleasant beach.
Looe is a lovely old working fishing village. It is full of quaint little shops and cafes with a small but lovely beach down the far end. There are some lovely restaurants including The old sail loft which has a lovely friendly atmosphere and the most excellent food. We have eaten there twice now and cannot rate it highly enough. We will be back.
Traditional fishing village (and still a working harbour) with a fantastic beach. Lots of good cafes, restaurants and pubs. A great base for exploring the rest of Cornwall - great car and train links.
I stayed just outside Looe near Pelynt but did drive through the town at one point (by mistake!). I was looking for a walking holiday preferably on beaches with my dog. I struggled to find beaches for a good walk and had to travel to North Cornwall and Bodmin Moor for a good walk. If you want a less doggy holiday including beautiful towns and fishing villages this area is excellent. I travelled further afield to Godrevy which was excellent.
Stick to Looe; have a good leisurely explore. There are some interesting retail shops and an amazing Pasty Shop - do not leave without having a steak pie, a chicken pie and a pasty! There's a walk I only found after 40 years round and up from the beach and back down through atmospheric lanes. And also lovely walks out towards Talland Bay via Hannafore and inland along the river. I sincerely recommend you give Polperro a wide berth: car parking minimum £5 even if you just want to nip in and out at any time of year (20/12/19) and scowly locals watching you menacingly if you so much as glance at a (legal) space with the intention of walking down - again, December. Outstanding, Polperro.
Tommy and Hoa are magnificent hosts and they made my stay special and memorable. The property has some beautiful views and is set right in the middle of town but just far away enough to avoid the hustle and bustle during peak season. The room and en-suite bathroom are exactly what they need to be; cosy, kitted our (kettle etc.) and of adequate size. I will be suggesting family stay here when they visit Cornwall.
The room we had (room 1) was large with a sitting area and large bedroom. There was few parking directly outside accommodation and the view was amazing. The walk into Looe is quick and easy. Ken and Tracey were very friendly and there was personal attention to welcoming us and giving some tips In the area. Ken tried really hard to be funny and make us feel at ‘home’. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order.
Schooner Point is in a perfect location for a stay in Looe. Just slightly out of the harbour area but only a few minutes walk to restaurants and shops. Our hosts made us feel very welcome and the accommodation was spotlessly clean. They were very attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. They gave advice about restaurants and what to do in the area. Breakfast was excellent with various choices.
Gorgeous place on a country road nice and peaceful. Andrew and Theresa are just so lovely and made us feel so welcome it was like home from home. They are full of knowledge of where to go around Cornwall. Also if you’re up for feeding the animals after breakfast it’s an opportunity not to be missed..⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’d give 6 if I could. Thanks again for an amazing stay guys...
Warm welcome with delicious welcome pack! The barn had everything we needed for our stay. Very clean and cosy, we looked forward to getting back to the barn each day after exploring Cornwall. The location was perfect, just a few miles from Looe, Polperro and great for visiting beautiful Fowey. We are looking forward to visiting again. Very highly recommended.
The hosts were special people - very friendly! The little patio out front was lovely! The room was clean and comfy. The breakfast was fresh and delicious. We would definitely stay next time we are in Cornwall!
Best locality in Looe next to bridge. Close to public transport, shops, harbour and restaurants. Super friendly host and staff. Excellent breakfast presented.
Very friendly atmosphere, a lovely and welcoming stay close to the heart of Looe. Everywhere in town is easily accessible from this location.
Location was wonderful. There is a delicious seafood restaurant at the base of the hotel. Beautiful walk into town along the sea wall.
Loads of food. Comfy. Warm (which is needed in Cornwall out of summer months). Friendly. Riverfront location.
Very friendly and welcoming b&b, comfortable room. Conveniently placed to Looe harbour. Good breakfast.
We had a brilliant stay at a beautiful part of Cornwall

Had a great short break. Great host and facilities spotlessly clean and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Thanks
Excellent host, very good breakfast. If the front room with a view of the town view is available I would grab it. Our room didnt have a view how’re it was comfortable.
The breakfast was a good selection and tasted great. The staff were very friendly, polite and cheerful. Bed comfortable. Location great overlooking the River. Beer cheap and happy hour from 5 - 7. Would defo book there again.
It was a very nice, cosy B & B. The breakfast was wonderful. The Landlords have been very friendly and helpful. All together we can well recommend this B & B
Ideal situation on the better side of Looe. Nice comfortable room with sea view! Lots of breakfast if you're hungry. Well done Ash and Debbie. Thanks Mike and Jennifer.
Lovely welcome from Andrew and Stephanie including a much needed pot of tea after a long journey. Perfect location, a lovely room and our own car parking space (definitely a bonus). Breakfast was cooked to order with good quality local produce. We enjoyed our holiday and would definitely stay again.
