It has lovely shops and many places to eat, a lovely place to visit.
But can be very busy so plan ahead for food and parking, like booking up if want to go to a particular restaurant! Please make sure you book even before arriving if going in a busy time of year, parking just go straight to main large car park as will waste time trying to get into small ones by harbour unless mid winter as very busy.

Looe is a great place with plenty of pubs, restaurants and essential shops. It felt a safe place to walk around in at night, and we encountered no large groups of stag parties etc such as would be found in Newquay. Parking is a bit of a pain and expensive, so we left the car parked up most of the time and used the local train and bus services which are quite frequent and convenient. There are plenty of walks both country and seashore. Large supermarkets are in Liskeard about 20 minutes drive away, but smaller stores such as the Co-op are in Looe. Recommended.

Looe is a beautiful port with plenty of public parking, accommodation and food stops. Sea Kitchen and The Old Sail Loft are two superb restaurants. Just along the coast is Polperro which is an unspoilt harbour and a must see!

The atmosphere in Looe is great, lots to see & do but relaxing also. Shops are excellent something for everyone of all ages. Good restaurants offering different food varieties. Good large beach in easy reach with boat trips, Looe Island is definitely worth a trip so tranquil. Looe Downs were we stayed was good too friendly, with good service. No breakfast did not matter there was plenty of coffee & tea in the room on offer. & there are plenty of places offering breakfast in Looe town if you so wish. Please could you remove the fact that there was no breakfast on my write up for people to read, & replace with how welcoming the owner was, making sure we were comfortable, & had what we needed. I only answered your boxes about breakfast, but most places don't do breakfast now, I don't want this reflected on the stay we had at Looe downs as we really enjoyed it & would stay there again, without breakfast as that's not the most important thing. so please change the rest of my review of Looe Downs with a positive. thank you Carol

A clean sandy, family friendly beach and town.
A clean sandy, family friendly beach and town. The beach has toilets and a shower attached. Next to the beach are two cafes and the town itself which includes a collection of shops and eateries you would expect to find in any well appointed small town.
Great Location for exploring Looe, Polperro and beyond. In a friendly and quite area with a lovely swimming pool. Great to relax beside the pool or go out exploring for the day. We also found the site manager friendly and helpfull with info on places to eat and the bus stop location etc. The owners also made us feel very welcome. And we had a great nights sleep and found the facilities very good. The roast dinner at the Jubilee in Pelynt was lovely on the Sunday. Well worth the stay if your in this part of Cornwall.
Hotel staff really friendly and went out there way to assist. It’s great they allow dogs as took my pooch. The views are amazing as hotel is based on the cliff side and it’s a nice small walk down with some steps to walk along the harbour into looe. Lovely location and would definitely use again as they did cheaper single rooms for people who don’t want to spend too much. They also kindly gave me a double instead of a single as plenty spare
Central location to explore both Devon and Cornwall. Owners were helpful and friendly from first point of contact to last.
Cottage was well equipped for self catering holidays, it was cosy and comfortable. After busy days of touring around the coast it was a perfect retreat at the end of the day and the bed was so comfortable
Location was fantastic, view of the river/estuary was brilliant, and constantly changing. The great town of Looe was just across the bridge. We had total freedom to come and go as we wanted, car park was near, with unloading Bay nearby. Of course, Cornwall was within access either driving or via bus routes outside the door.
We loved our stay here. It’s in a beautiful part of Cornwall right near all the pubs and shops (but not too near, so it’s not noisy at night). The facilities are excellent, everything is immaculate and you’ve got everything you need but there’s a little shop just outside the door. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Beautiful location, a handy base for a tour of Cornwall. Good facilities, clean and comfortable with good bed. Very friendly and helpful host. Very attractive cottage. Easy parking. We loved the rural outlook while still being within easy drive to a good small supermarket and choice of country pubs.
Apartment was self catering and location was exceptional as all facility's required where all within a very small walking distance, including beach, river, shops and restaurants.
A well worth visit in our opinion was a boat trip over to Looe island with the wild life and history.
Great location for Looe, lovely hotel. Room was quiet with lovely views. Good choice at breakfast. Owner was very welcoming! Free parking was a bonus and even the smallest of things like USB wall sockets in the room were a help, when forgetting my phone charger.
Friendly, clean, amazing breakfast. Excellent, quiet location.
This is a second time we’ve stayed, so we obviously love it. Would have booked again for next year, but we are off to a different part of Cornwall next year.
Breakfast excellent with good choices.Lovely room with good views. Friendly and helpful hosts.Everywhere spotlessly clean.Very reasonable price especially for Cornwall ! Good location as very convenient for the town.
Lovely room with an amazing view over the river and Looe. Far exceeded our expectations. A very comprehensive breakfast was available, couldn't fault anything. Pleasure to stay there and will definitely go back.
Great Location from the train station. Central location on the West Quay with great views of the harbour. Great destination to use as a base to visit local areas.
