Booking online through Booking.com was seamless. We emailed ahead to let the hotel know we would check in late and needed a car space which was also handled very well by the hotel. The cleaning staff were lovely, friendly, dedicated and attentive. The location is really central in Winchester and there's plenty of safe off-road parking for customers.

Loved the feeling of history around the city. The High Street was vibrant with a good variety of shops and eating places and with no traffic it was very relaxing. The Orangery stands out as a fabulous place for brunch.
The river was very accessible with pleasant walking alongside it.
There were many interesting places to visit

A beautiful old pub that has been made into a wonderful place to stay. The staff were so welcoming, the breakfast was delicious , the room was comfortable, only drawback lugging a large suitcase up 3 flight of stairs. It was quiet in the evenings but still very close to other pubs/ restaurants, the cathedral - I would highly recommend it.

For those who like shopping, there is a great selection of independant shops, boutiques and "knick-knack" shops as well as designer ones. But they are on the expensive side.
For those who like wining and dining, there are many options. Take a fat wallet!

We had one night after visiting Highclere Castle before visiting friends and having never been to Winchester, nor seen the cathedral we thought Winchester would be interesting. And it is. A lovely pedestrianised town centre with lots of individual shops alongside the usual high street ones. The cathedral was only a few yards away but sadly we picked the wrong time to go as it was closed for a valedictory service and not reopening till the following day. Unfortunately we had to be off but from what we saw it'll be well worth a return visit to see this ancient building.
The hotel is convenient for main roads and Winchester town Centre is nearby. It has a large car park with plenty of spaces free.Reception and restaurant are bright and airy good air conditioning throughout.Food was tasty and plentiful.Staff friendly and relaxed.Bed was comfortable and room clean and tidy with tea and coffee tray/ hair drier ironing board ect.
Great location in central Winchester, with lovely view of cathedral from parts of the hotel. Staff very helpful and welcoming, good sized room with excellent selection of breakfast options. We had a lovely overnight stay to visit the Xmas market nearby. We also got parking nearby via the hotel, there was a charge but that is reasonable and expected.
Although about 15m walk from the centre of Winchester the location was excellent for a city visit. Sited behind a public car park, first impressions were not the best but the hotel itself and all the facilities were excellent.
Staff were friendly and very helpful liked the room, loved the pool and really enjoyed dinner and the buffet breakfast.
Good Hotel near Winchester. It was a business trip so perfect just for sleep. The Winchester Services have some places to buy food which is convenient if you arrive late. Just 5 minutes from Winchester.
