The staff was absolutely lovely. When I booked this stay, looking at the Google Map, it appeared everything would be in walking distance. It is set in an absolutely beautiful village. However, we did have to obtain a rental car to get to our event and to visit with our son. I can't say one negative thing about the facility. The people were so gracious. Would love to come back when we visit again.

This is our second stay at the Elm Tree Inn whilst meeting friends who camp locally. Bedroom very clean and bed very comfy. Spotless en suite with toiletries provided. Can't comment on the breakfast or food as we didn't eat in the pub, but looks very good. Plenty of free parking

Everything. Lee greeted me warmly and happily stowed my bicycle in the garage. And I got to test drive his three wheeler—fun! Room was big and spotless and comfortable. Nice snacks and cold water in the fridge—great for a cyclist on a hot day! Great shower. Lee made a bang up breakfast! First rate. Will definitely stay again when cycling these parts. Karen the host made me feel welcome even before I arrived on site. She counseled me on trains and stations nearest the property, and arranged to pick me up at the station and drop me off when my stay was complete. The first evening we had a nice cuppa and chat at the fire pit in front of the farm house. My bed and bedroom furnishings were very comfortable with relaxation and sleep made easy. The shared bathroom was clean and bright. Location was good as the property is within walking distance of the village of Terrington St. John where I could easily catch public transport to other places in East Anglia. Overall I felt quite at home and among friends; I would recommend Karen's Willow Barn to any traveler and family.

    The Town centre is full of drunks on benches at all hours of the day. There are reports of high crime compared to other towns in Cambridgeshire. It has a number of things to see such as the Wisbech and Fenland Museum, Peckover House, Elgood's Brewery and Gardens(open every Thursday) and Octavia Hill's birthplace, who was one of the founders of the National Trust.

    Wisbech is very run down and generally unpleasant in my opinion. I went there for an event which was good, but if you have no prior reason to visit, I would recommend giving it a miss. I’ve added no photos cos I took none. The castle and church are fine buildings, as are some of the run down buildings. On Saturday lunchtime there was a group of Eastern European men drinking beer and openly urinating in the churchyard, it didn’t get much better in the town area.

    We enjoyed the museum and there is beautiful planting around the church. BUT open drug dealing on the street, no police evident by cars parked everywhere, on the pavements, all along double yellow lines. We were advised by hotel receptionist not to go out at night and the car park and hotel are locked and secured at 9pm. Very run down a lots of empty shops and litter.

    I like the new developed houses

    I like the new developed houses Loads of parking places and not paid for parking at all Environmental friendly no pollution It is not easy to get around Wisbech as taxis are pre booked in advance. Our journey did not allow us to book in advance. Will like to see public transport available regularly like every 10 to 15 minutes

    I didn't stay in Wisbech too long as I was travelling...

    I didn't stay in Wisbech too long as I was travelling through. But what I did see was a a town centre with lots of boarded up shops and on the outskirts a new out of town development with supermarkets, cinema, Costa Coffee, B & Q etc which is killing the town centre. This is a problem affecting most city centres in the UK

    All photo looks so great, that we decide to visit.

    All photo looks so great, that we decide to visit. We found free car parking next to church. Then we went to see area. When we went through little park next to church, we start worried. We pass group of young people drinking beer, then teenagers around 13-14 years smoking weed, then older people already drunk. And another group of drunk people. We run back to car as we start be scary of safety, and it wasn't pleasure to enjoy any view. I think town council really need to look into that as could be nice tourist spot.

    The location was excellent for me and the hotel was extremely dog friendly. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and it was a very enjoyable experience. Dinner was very good. I didn't have breakfast.

    Nice position on the edge of Wisbech's apple orchards. Really quiet and beautiful decor. It would have been nice to have some breakfast, (maybe something simple, DIY), but it was fine and very good value.
