Gorse Hill is an elegant mansion in the beautiful countryside of Surrey. It has a peaceful location surrounded by green gardens, yet only a few minutes from the center of Woking and 67 bedrooms. I requested a fan, which I was given, and I also mentioned about the bath water running away very slowly, which was rectified straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. The grounds were fabulous. A friend came to visit, and we sat on our own chairs in the shade. It was just so peaceful.

The check in process is nice and simple, great value for money. The ensuite bedroom is a good size with sufficient cupboard space. It could benefit from a desk but that's not a negative thing. It's about 30 minute walk from Woking Station or 15 mins by train.

The hotel is located in the middle of the town, surrounded by lots of shops, restaurants, pubs, and malls. Manuel was an excellent host and very accommodating, even allowed me to check out late. I would surely visit again and recommend this place to everyone visiting Woking.

Located in the heart of the historic village of Ripley, The Half Moon Inn is a gastro pub with free Wi-Fi throughout. Free parking is available to the rear of the Inn. Picturesque location. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and tidy. Would stay again.
