Woodbridge is a town with plenty to offer - beautiful scenery, plenty of pubs and restaurants. The town centre has some good shops and a theatre/cinema. The garden centre has a lovely cafe and gift shop. It is close to the sea at Felixstowe and to a retail estate with a big Next, M&S Food etc. It is within easy reach of Ipswich. The riverside is beautiful with a long walk by the water and there is a museum and project to build a replica of the boat found at Sutton Hoo taking place near the Mill.
Woodbridge has some lovely shops and cafes. The Unruly Pig just outside the town is a wonderful restaurant for that special night out. Fish and Chips from Woodbridge Quality Fish Bar are very good. Blue Salt restaurant in town offers nice burgers and grills. The Adnams Shop by the station is well stocked with all the brewery's great beers and a good choice of wine etc. Walking along the harbour and estuary is a treat and a visit to the historic Tide Mill is well worth doing. Other places nearby that are strongly recommended are:- - Orford and Orford Ness - Shingle Street - Aldeburgh - Snape Maltings - Sutton Hoo - Framlingham Castle
Friendly staff and the hotel was 'super clean' Situated on a main road but this made it very easy for traveling to other places. Easy walk into Woodbridge. Only one of the two dormer windows opened which made the room a bit warm and stuffy which some people wouldn't mind but we like our fresh air. Would definitely recommend the hotel but would recommend paying for a better room if staying for more than a couple of nights.
Beautiful countryside and rivers with the coast very close. Lots of places to eat (we LOVED the Unruly Pig on the outskirts. Sutton Hoo is an amazing National Trust site - truly magical. Summer holiday and the roads and tourist attractions were busy but not rammed.
Really nice Town with great Waterside to walk an sit and watch from. Sunday was enjoyable with musicians on the park behind waterside.Sailing to watch, and longship exhibition at the old Whistocks boatyard, Tide mill and plenty of arts especially painting being done alongside waterfront. Thouroughly lovely place to visit.
Woodbridge is a delightful small country town. The whole place is clean, well run and cared for. Local people are very friendly and clearly like their town; a great community spirit prevails. Shopping in town is excellent, with plenty of small shops and places to eat; also there are out of town superstores and a big shopping mall within easy access. Parking is plentiful and inexpensive. Woodbridge also has an excellent leisure centre, newly refurbished and well managed. In the surrounding area there are numerous places of interest, with Sutton Hoo, lovely walks, really good pubs and restaurants within easy access. The area also offers many other interesting, historical towns and cultural centres, such as Thorpe Ness, Orford Ness, Aldeburgh, Snape Maltings to add to the attractions of the area. Woodbridge is a wonderful example of a small English country town.

Beautiful location, lovely hotel, amazing staff, nice rooms. I loved the views from our room. All staff were very nice and friendly, felt we've been well looked after. The shower in the room was wow! I don't remember the last time I've seen the shower with so much power in a hotel! The hotel is in a quiet location surrounded by the fields. Suitable for a quiet stay away from hustle and bustle. However, 6 pounds for taxi and you're in the high street of woodbridge.
Woodbridge
Very warm welcome and incredibly helpful staff throughout the stay. Facilities excellent . Very quiet and cofnortable with lots of space. I was particularly impressed with the availability of wall sockets, which are often lacking in hotel rooms! The bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom luxurious. We also ate at the pub and the food was very good indeed. We will certainly plan to book again on future visits.
We were pleasantly surprised at how nice the hotel was. The room was well layed out with plenty of space with nice little extras such as a shaving mirror, dressing gowns and a fridge. The room had a balcony lovely views over the golf course. Breakfast was very good and the restaurant meals were good for the price. Knowing where everything was purchased from was excellent.
Breakfast very good apart from prunes and grapefruit which is old fashioned. Would preferred bowl of fruit salad or pears/orange segments in keeping with modern requirements. Hotel was clean, bright, nice decor throughout. Our room was functional with really superb walk in shower. Plenty of parking too. Staff very helpful.
Fabulous breakfast, the joy of a tomato in a full English that's soft and melting and not like a rock in the middle, homemade baked beans, best hotel breakfast I've had in the UK. Super friendly and helpful staff and a really clean comfortable room. Not sure how my stay could have been better.
