Fantastic, plentiful breakfast with quality produce - all enjoyed in a beautifully decorated breakfast room. Lovely, polite & helpful staff. Great location for Blenheim and Woodstock.

This is the perfect country cottage escape. Everything was marvelous. Vanessa looked after us so well and check in and out was smooth. The king size was the best bed so far on our European trip. The little terrace garden was a gift- it looks into Blenheim Palace grounds and the Green Gate is two minute stroll away. A well equipped kitchen and one and a half bathrooms were a bonus. A short walk into town for great restaurants. Highly recommend. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

An attractive small town, right next door to Blenheim Palace and near to Oxford: an excellent base for exploring the area more generally. The town has lots of places to eat and drink, and some useful shops, including a co-op in the centre of town. Prices aren't cheap, but quality is good. Parking can be a bit of a problem at busy periods, but we managed OK.

Parking can be challenging; the free car park allows only 12 hours out of every 24hrs. Paid parking has max stay of 4 hours so there may be the need to move your car frequently if you're not going out during the day. Lots of pubs and hotels are dog-friendly but there aren't many places to take a dog for a walk. There isn't a lot of grass around unless you want to pay £31 to walk the dog at Blenheim Palace. Woodstock is however a very pretty town with lots of places to eat and drink. Probably better if you don't have a dog or a car though.

A beautiful and quiet place with lots of eateries and interesting shops. Parking is a bit of a pain though as you are only allowed up to four hours and where we stayed had no off road parking which meant that before breakfast you had to dash out and feed the meter. Add to that the problem that the meters often ran out of paper so you could not put a ticket under your windscreen and you might have to write a note to say you have paid.

Woodstock is a lovley place to visit and stay.

Woodstock is a lovley place to visit and stay. Parking is not easy as there are not many places to park. Plenty of different priced accommodation and places to eat. When I stay I always eat at Blenheim Palace as this is my main reason for coming to Woodstock. I would not stay anywhere else as once you are at your accommodation , Blenheim Palace is a stones throw, and the side entrance is in the village. As I am a solo traveller I find it a lovely safe place to walk around.

Visiting Blenheim Palace close by. Woodstock is a pretty market town with a good selection of places to choose from to eat out. We enjoyed eating out at The Chef Imperial Chinese restaurant/takeaway where we had a delicious meal for 2 at very good value for the local area.

Woodstock was such a pleasant surprise. Woodstock was recommended to us as a way to break up our trip back to London. We stayed two nights and loved it immensely. Blenheim Palace is a must see and the local shops are lovely. We used Woodstock as a base to travel to some other small towns.

Proper old coaching inn. We loved lounging around in the downstairs room with comfy chairs, warm fire and good coffee. Also the tipsy floor in our room was quite fun. We were by the road but the sound insulation worked well (not if you open the window!). The breakfast is excellent and the staff lovely. Woodstock is very attractive (good pubs and restaurants- Marlborough Arms doesn’t do food or draft beer) and Blenheim a stone’s throw. Easy to get the bus into centre of Oxford.

What a charming place! It is centrally located in Woodstock and walkable to Blenheim Palace. I absolutely loved the staff! They were so kind and helpful, especially at breakfast. Speaking of which, the breakfast choices were awesome and we loved trying new things. The yogurt parfait was the best I've had! The rooms are very clean.
