we live in Yate and have no issues with Yate. Chipping Sodbury (the next town) is what visitor's would like to see - an old market town. We were at the Cross hands for a 30th birthday party and know the hotel well. The room was ok.
The room was ok. I wasn't overly keen on the walls showing wear/tear. The bathroom was to die for! I was so impressed with the cleanliness of the room. It was obvious that cleaning was a high priority in the rooms as other parties also said their rooms were very clean. Check in was super friendly and breakfast the next morning was so good! Honestly a great portion size and nothing was too much trouble for our server. Check out was simple and easy to do. I would be happy to stay again. What a change now. Perfect location for the site I was working at. On site Italian restaurant and wine bar with a really good menu and very reasonable prices.
