Kutaisi is my favorite city in Georgia.I love it for its relaxed and slow life character.I love to stroll the streets, to listen to the sounds around, to watch Rioni river from different bridges, to sit in one of many little cafes and just enjoy the flair of this charming city. My beloved places to return in Kutaisi are - Bagrati Cathedral with the beautiful yard, Gulvardi boulevard with ensemble of 4 sisters Ishkhneli, Kutaisis Cinema and Photography micro-museum, the Jewish quarter and the synagogue,the annunciation church and of course the Green Bazaar. I love to meet people, to talk to them, to listen to their ton voices and to answer their questions. Usually we eat at Kvamli,or Hacker-Pshorr, sometimes in Palaty and Baraqa. As an addition to above mentioned activities , for young couples I definitely recommend rafting on Rioni river.

The charming small city with many world heritage sites. The main travel attraction can be reached by walked with pleasure. The buildings and the art along the roads is very amazing. Green bazar is colorful with many kinds of food and vendors. The Rioni river view is very stunning, as well as the sunset view from Bagrati Cathedral. Gelati and Motsameta Monasteries are worth visiting and taking time to learn about the history. There are many good restaurants around the city both traditional Georgian food and fusion. I dined in "Palaty", It was excellent. The breakfast in the garden at "Fleur" was very good as well. I had only a day and a night in Kutaisi, so I spent my most time in the city. There are Kutaisi caves, canyons and waterfall out of the city I wish I would visit in my next trip.

Gorgeous city with beautiful architecture and very friendly people. Amazing food. There is a university so you can expect a vibrant nightlife and good vibes. Highlights: The Bagrati cathedral at the top of the hill, old town. Don’t miss the green bazaar. The modern part (cc around Carrefour is also interesting. Lots of excursions to the surrounding nature available (didn’t have time for that though)

Wonderful wine, wonderful food and even end of March it was rainy but great! Many people told us not to go to Kutaisi because there is "nothing to see". That's not the case! we spent 2 and a half days in Kutaisi and one in Martvili. All days we had a guide with us in a car and he showed us everything around. The church with the view to the city, the caves with the stalactites and stalagmites, the Canyon hike, and the other canyon with the boats, A monastery, the bazar, natural springs ! we ate at "the sisters" which was our least favourite (super slow service & overpriced) our favourite was KVAMLI a bit out of the centre and ODOS WINERY in Martvili.

As our plane departured 5 a.m. from Kutaisi airport so we found this Hotel a few km from the airport for one night stay. Room is simple and small but porfict for the short stay. Bathroom clean and really nice. The hotel is outside of Kutaisi so it is not for longer stay for city sightseeing. Staff veri nice and helpful. Even a large nice garden that is worth to see.
