Located in Pointe-Noire, 1.9 mi from Marigot Beach, EDEN FOREST Villas provides free WiFi and sea views. - The bungalow is spacious, modern an beautiful, something not easy to find in Guadeloupe. The kitchen has everything needed, the bed was comfortable, the shower had good pressure. - The jacuzzi is a real plus, although the water was not very clean. - The Smart TV had netflix, which we really enjoyed when wifi was good. - Before arriving, they shared a website with all the information needed for the stay, which was handy. I would really recommend this place. They didn't ask for the damage deposit as indicated in the booking.
Pinpin is located in Pointe-Noire. Located on the beachfront, this property features a restaurant, free bikes, a garden and free WiFi. The apartment is big and offers all you need. Comfortable double bed with mosquito net, the bedroom serves with AC. We were three people, the third one had to sleep in the living room on a sofa (not very comfortable) and no AC in the room (just fan). Parking in a very narrow street.
JackTavern - Auberge de Jeunesse features a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Pointe-Noire. Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. Hospitality by the owners was great. Conveniently located in a quiet neibourghood.
This is a beautiful setting, the accommodations are rustic with modern facilities, beautiful Italian style showers and a kitchen with everything you need to make your own meals if you prefer that over eating out. Comfortable bed and a lovely outdoor living space as well, to sit and relax and a table for eating at. We enjoyed just sitting around the pool and going in for dip for a couple of our days there. We stayed for 6 nights. Easy drive north to Deshaise, which is a gorgeous setting and Malendure beach to the south where you will be able to experience diving, snorkeling, boat tours etc., eat at a restaurant on the beach. We didn't manage to take in the zoo but it is also an easy drive and apparently well worth the visit. Whale watching can be hit and miss but is available. Your hosts Martine & Alex, along with their lovely daughter Zoe are a delight, very accommodating and caring.
The city is really close to Bouillante to swim with the turtles and go to the Cousteau natural reserve, and as the same time it's not too far from Deshaies to go to what I consider to be one the best beach in Guadeloupe, (Plage de la Grand-Anse).
