The hotel is located at the end of the road (which provides for quiet with little traffic) on a point overlooking the ocean with a wonderful pool and sunbeds for lounging...the owners were friendly and accommodating...the unsung part of the hotel is their restaurant located across the street, which is spectacular! We enjoyed an hours long evening of wine and food in a very stylish setting with a fantastic open-air view of the sea and coastline and an incredibly friendly and helpful waitstaff that never pressured us to leave and suggested delicious dishes for us to try...it's a must!

We are a tourist lodge on the sea in the center of the sandy beach of Agia Pelagia fully renovated with brand new rooms with sea view and a wonderful breakfast area overlooking the endless blue of... Rooms are spacious, very clean and comfortable with AC and a mini fridge. Vicky was cleaning and tidying up the room daily and towels are changed on request or by default after 3 days. Bathroom was clean and equipped with hair blow dryer. Breakfast was good, exactly what you need: some fresh fruits, eggs, sweets. Coffee was very good!! Manolis, the owner, is a very nice person, he offered us some of his wine which is very good and is always there to help with what u need. The beach in front of the hotel is very beautiful, with 2 sunbeds and an umbrella for 7 euro but you need to be there before 12 to find some empty spots. Lots of tavernas and a supermarket very close to the hotel and the beach.

Offering a buffet restaurant, a pool-side snack bar and a fresh-water pool with lounge chairs and sun umbrellas, the 3-star Chrissy's Paradise is across the beach of Agia Pelagia. I want to thank you very much for a wonderful holiday in this great hotel. We also really enjoyed the holiday thanks to the staff, which is great. I have visited hundreds of hotels around the world, but nowhere have I found such friendly, smiling and helpful staff as here. The girls at the front desk are always smiling and ready to help and meet your every requirement. The pool bar is best served. The staff mix tasty drinks for you and take care of your sunbathing comfort. The food at the hotel was the most delicious I've ever eaten in Europe. I had the feeling that an old Greek grandmother was preparing it with love. I'm sure she was in the kitchen too :). A huge thank you goes to the owner of the hotel, who manages it with love, fulfills all the wishes of the guests and wants them to feel like in paradise and paradise it really was. I can't wait to visit this great place again. With love, Tomáš

Panorama Village Hotel, Acro Suites - A Wellbeing Resort, and Chrissy's Paradise got great room view-related reviews from travelers in Agia Pelagia.
Shops - there are a few basic shops; clothes, sun cream, gifts etc. They were cheaper compared to the high tourist areas of Chania, Heraklion etc. Restaurants/Bars: - “O Nikolas” was brilliant, we went twice in a row after finding it, very well priced and quality was great. The staff were very friendly and fun too. Would recommend booking a table as it was so busy by 7:30pm and they had to turn people away. - “Yamas” cocktail bar near Peninsula Resort is also great, they have incredible elevated views of the bay, lovely interior and brilliant cocktails. We cannot comment on the food menu as didn’t eat. Excursions: - Quad Safari at Peninsula Resort is worth it. 75€ per quad (if you’re a couple take 1x quad) as you can swap drivers. - Day trip to Chania, we drove ourselves (1hr) as the route was very simple. - Boat trip to Dia Island from Heraklion, we arrange through our hotel. 30min bus to Heraklion and day on the boat. The Beach - is small & short so very overcrowded. Diving: We didn’t dive this trip but I have dived here before, it’s never very interesting. If you’re new to diving and want the practice/warm water, fine but I wouldn’t bother if you’re experienced.
Best place of Agia Pelagia was Ambelos and surroundings. We spent the last few days of our vacation there and that place has captured all of our senses. View: breathtaking view as it is located at the top of the hill but also very close (on foot) to a delightful beach. Hearing: the place is immersed in the typical Greek landscape with olive trees. We were totally immersed in the sound of nature. Smell: as soon as we arrived, we were immediately captivated by the smell of bougainville that spread over the facades of the apartments. Touch: Sitting outside our balcony, we could easily reach the juicy grape right there, at our disposal. Taste: besides the delicious fruit, we had the opportunity to try the fruitful olive oil produced from the surrounding olive trees. Last but not least Ambelos is the excellent value for money. The room was clean, spacious and furnished with taste and simplicity. In conclusion, the combination of all these elements made Ambelos an authentic and unique place. If you are looking for true luxury (not the artificial one), this is a great choice.
It is a lovely little destination. We travelled during COVID so I'd assume there were a bit less people but the each was super crowded. Not sure how this is when there is normal season. The beach is very narrow so it was challenging to get a spot. People literally went to put their umbrellas at 7am or rent the sun beds (but even that could be challenging). Otherwise, the beach was really clean and there were plenty of great restaurants along the beach. Just a perfect small place for laid back holiday.
Some nice tavernas and restaurants - Le Gourmet deserves a mention for the quality of food, wine and service. The sea was beautiful and the snorkeling was great. The beach was tiny and crowded and you will not get a sunbed after 10.00. The resort is at the bottom of a very steep hill and you will need a car or use local buses if you want to go anywhere else.
The incredible views and scenes. The beaches and evening walks were relaxing. The quadding in the village nearby is unique. 10 I highly recommend renting the boat for a few hours and sailing across the 33 km coastal beaches. Never a day was stressful or boring - it was pure bliss and peaceful.
In total I stayed in this area for 15 nights and was also in the area last year.Agia Pelagia and nearby Lygaria beach are ideal for families with children. Psamoura beach has a more adult orientated beach bar. All beaches have amenities and the first two are located close to taverna and bars. In non pandemic times I would have used the area as a base for day tours and water sports. You can also take the bus into Heraklion from this resort,
Agia Pelagia
1. Isolated and quiet as you want. 2. Clean and well equipped rooms, all with a nice balcony with a splendid sea view. 3. Everyday maid service, shout-out mrs Elena is doing, she even wash all dishes 4. Little private beach! It is rocky but tottaly accessible! There are enough sunbeds and Palm trees offer enough sun shade. 5. Nice garden with showers, sunbeds, grape, lemon and pomegranate trees all over the place. When coming to Crete next time, we definitely won’t be searching for any other place. We have found our Crete home.
Agia Pelagia
Great surrounding, quiet and green, with beautiful flowers around building and fresh fruits from trees. We had a really good rest and relax there. Pool was great. It is big and there were few people so it was mostly only us, we could use it almost anytime we wanted. Comfortable bed and room was cleaned every three days. Bless you for air condition in rooms :) Each apartment has its own terrace - it was really nice spot to have a morning coffee and chill in the evenings. Better than any 5 star ocean view hotel room!
Agia Pelagia
Peggy and Romina and the staff are a lovely family who were very welcoming. Spectacular views in an idyllic setting. Delicious breakfast and food. Accommodations are a bit dated, but it's a good value and a very nice experience. Will need a car to get down to the beaches and restaurants. We stayed here before continuing to Heraklio for our flight and it was an easy 20 minute drive, so it's a great place to start or end your stay in Crete. Or stay multiple days and enjoy the peaceful and friendly environment!
Agia Pelagia

Hotel is nicely design to give you loads of privacy. There are plenty good restaurants around and other activities like boat rental, quad safaris.
Arguably the best stay in Agia Pelagia. The hotel is great, the people are all super nice and ready to help with everything, the view is out of this world and the FOOD is unbelievable! The hotel also owns the cutest restaurant where the food is delicious, great value, and super nice decoration, far from the tourist-traps of the city center. You should 100% book here.

The hotel has a lovely view - that comes with a nice hike on your way back from the beach. The hosts were very kind and helpful, smiles all the way. We loved cooling off on the terrace watching the sea. The food was also delicious and the restaurant has a lovely view of Agia Pelagia.
