Rooms were clean, cleaned up every day. In case of any problem, the staff was doing everything to solve it. The food was all right. Thank you very much for including vegetarian meals for my partner! The pool was clean and the pool bar staff very friendly. The air conditioning was working as it should. The room had a view on the pool or the sea (depending on your choice). There was 20 min walk to the nearest beach, but the beach bus was available too and it was free. Thank you for doing everything you could so we could feel like home! ❤️

It’s really beautiful with direct access to the beach and plenty of good restaurants. The best we tried was Taverna. You can go for walks. Watch the sunrise and relax. The local people are very friendly and helpful.
Shops - there are a few basic shops; clothes, sun cream, gifts etc. They were cheaper compared to the high tourist areas of Chania, Heraklion etc. Restaurants/Bars: - “O Nikolas” was brilliant, we went twice in a row after finding it, very well priced and quality was great. The staff were very friendly and fun too. Would recommend booking a table as it was so busy by 7:30pm and they had to turn people away. - “Yamas” cocktail bar near Peninsula Resort is also great, they have incredible elevated views of the bay, lovely interior and brilliant cocktails. We cannot comment on the food menu as didn’t eat. Excursions: - Quad Safari at Peninsula Resort is worth it. 75€ per quad (if you’re a couple take 1x quad) as you can swap drivers. - Day trip to Chania, we drove ourselves (1hr) as the route was very simple. - Boat trip to Dia Island from Heraklion, we arrange through our hotel. 30min bus to Heraklion and day on the boat. The Beach - is small & short so very overcrowded. Diving: We didn’t dive this trip but I have dived here before, it’s never very interesting. If you’re new to diving and want the practice/warm water, fine but I wouldn’t bother if you’re experienced.
Best place of Agia Pelagia was Ambelos and surroundings. We spent the last few days of our vacation there and that place has captured all of our senses. View: breathtaking view as it is located at the top of the hill but also very close (on foot) to a delightful beach. Hearing: the place is immersed in the typical Greek landscape with olive trees. We were totally immersed in the sound of nature. Smell: as soon as we arrived, we were immediately captivated by the smell of bougainville that spread over the facades of the apartments. Touch: Sitting outside our balcony, we could easily reach the juicy grape right there, at our disposal. Taste: besides the delicious fruit, we had the opportunity to try the fruitful olive oil produced from the surrounding olive trees. Last but not least Ambelos is the excellent value for money. The room was clean, spacious and furnished with taste and simplicity. In conclusion, the combination of all these elements made Ambelos an authentic and unique place. If you are looking for true luxury (not the artificial one), this is a great choice.
It is a lovely little destination. We travelled during COVID so I'd assume there were a bit less people but the each was super crowded. Not sure how this is when there is normal season. The beach is very narrow so it was challenging to get a spot. People literally went to put their umbrellas at 7am or rent the sun beds (but even that could be challenging). Otherwise, the beach was really clean and there were plenty of great restaurants along the beach. Just a perfect small place for laid back holiday.
Some nice tavernas and restaurants - Le Gourmet deserves a mention for the quality of food, wine and service. The sea was beautiful and the snorkeling was great. The beach was tiny and crowded and you will not get a sunbed after 10.00. The resort is at the bottom of a very steep hill and you will need a car or use local buses if you want to go anywhere else.
The incredible views and scenes. The beaches and evening walks were relaxing. The quadding in the village nearby is unique. 10 I highly recommend renting the boat for a few hours and sailing across the 33 km coastal beaches. Never a day was stressful or boring - it was pure bliss and peaceful.
Agia Pelagia
The room was spacious, our daughter liked the second level with a wardrobe and bed, in particular. Comfortable kitchen, wide balcony with a pool view. 2 airconditioners! They helped us exceptionally in that hot weather. The beach is 50 meters away, supermarket is across the street. We are very thankful to our host, Mrs. Mary who assisted on any question that we would ask. If you decide to cook in the apartment then fully equipped kitchen is at your service: cooker, fridge, air ventilation, dishes, glasses and all utensils.
Agia Pelagia
Great surrounding, quiet and green, with beautiful flowers around building and fresh fruits from trees. We had a really good rest and relax there. Pool was great. It is big and there were few people so it was mostly only us, we could use it almost anytime we wanted. Comfortable bed and room was cleaned every three days. Bless you for air condition in rooms :) Each apartment has its own terrace - it was really nice spot to have a morning coffee and chill in the evenings. Better than any 5 star ocean view hotel room!
Agia Pelagia
Super friendly hostess met us to let us in and explain everything. Tremendous hospitality many welcome gifts and one for farewell too. A very comfortable home with much local character and artistic touches. Super roof terrace for when you tire of the envious glances of the passers by. The location is exceptional and the facilities suited us perfectly, if you want to relax by the sea you surely won't find a better place to stay in Crete. Will be booking again for sure.
Agia Pelagia
First of all would like to say that we had fantastic time. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The hotel has stunning sea views and is also surrounded by several beaches. All inclusive drinks such as cocktail were disappointing. If you want a delicious cocktail you have to pay. But the all inclusive food was very tasty. The variety of foods were wide. The room were clean and spacious.
Agia Pelagia
Delicious supper, all homemade, fabulous views and Peggy is a wonderful attentive host. We needed up having to stay the night in a neighbouring hotel as here was a muddle with our one night booking but Peggy made sure we were happy and we went back to Bellair village for dinner. It’s a gorgeous little hotel, so friendly and well located for the town and the beach.
Agia Pelagia
