There are two Agios Stefanos's in Corfu. We stayed in Agios Stefanos North East and the picture above shows the one in the North West coast. Very different feel and vibe. If you want long sandy beaches and more wind, North west is better. North East is a small bay with some boats and a few taverna's. Swimming not great in this bay (lots of sea urchins) . Nearby bays however super stunning. North East is mostly pebbled beaches.
a friendly idyllic typical Greek village but so much more beautiful and less crowded than most.people so helpful. Kapparellis taverna by far the best taverna ,great food and reasonably priced. Eucalyptus and Kokili also fabulous, a nice variety of food, much more exppensive but worth it for a special meal and great views. Craft shop and owner delightful, near Kockili. If you book a boat go along beach towards Euchalyptus and book with Costas.ask for Panos, he will offer you a great deal.
It’s been almost 30 years since we were last there and naturally the little harbour has changed. We were very pleased to see how it had grown but not excessively. It offers modernity where one would expect - upgraded restaurants and bars, clean beaches, minimal yet essential shops for self-catering families. And yet the village still retains its traditional Corfiot origins of friendliness and beauty.
Agios Stefanos is a delightful village with excellent restaurants and a couple of great bars. Galini and Eucalyptus restaurants our favourites. There are a couple of simple supermarkets that stock all the essentials. There are boats to hire and plenty of beaches to visit
A very attractive resort with lovely walks nearby you just need to watch the restaurants have a habit of almost forcing you to eat more than you actually want to and before you know it you've spent double what you had planned.
