The only bad thing was that some beaches (p.e. in the area...
The only bad thing was that some beaches (p.e. in the area of Alykes) have developed more than expected and the local enterprises charge extremely much for an umbrella and 2 sunbeds. Better to have an umbrella set with you or buy one from a local shop than meet those unwelcome surprise prices. Despite this, the sea remains crystal and clear as it was ten years ago. The food is delicious. Short distances, easy to move around the island either by own car or by a local bus route.

Family friendly.
Family friendly. Providing you find the right accommodation even in peak season you can feel secluded & undisturbed. It rivals many of the "exotic" destinations (in terms of beaches & crystal clear waters), yet retains a rustic charm, combined with the hospitality of the locals and their great tasty dishes and local drinks which complete the enjoyable experience. 2 years in a row and we look forward to 2025!

Amazing island, with great sandy beaches, crystal clear and calm water and many places to visit. Caribbean of Europe = Yes, definitely. Almost everything is 5 min away by car and the roads are unexpectedly good. Ferries are running on every 30 min, so very relaxing and quick trip from main land to the island. I recommend to make a reservation in Tzanis restaurant, and experience the quality food while watching the sea. Tavern Metoxi also a good option.

My personal favorite is Alykes, with its golden sands and tranquil blue-green shallow waters—perfect for little kids. However, the island’s streets could use some maintenance, especially since it’s becoming increasingly popular each year, drawing more tourists. For the past 12 years, it has been my cherished family getaway.” 😊

It îs a wonderfull island. It seems much larger than it looks. An interesting history and wonderfull people. The food is great. The trips around the island are revealing great landscapes. I strongly reccoment a visit.

In the small town there are numerous good restaurants with traditional Greek cuisine and fish specialties, street food is recommended, pastry shops with hand-made ice cream. The location of the hotel is outstanding. It is located on a hill overlooking the bay. There are amazing beaches nearby, more and more beautiful: Aliky, Megali Amos, St. George and numerous others. Fine sand, shallow clean sea, crystal clear water, lovely beach bars.

Excellent location with views to the Aegean Sea. Well-kept and managed hotel. Kind attention. Free parking in front of the hotel. Spacious room; we had room 214. The room 214 has actually got two rooms with a total of 5 regular beds. Both rooms are connected with a sliding door. The room has a lovely balcony with a great view to the sea, town and port + sunset! Included buffet breakfast with a good choice.

A great place with the most welcoming of hosts! Location is just a 5-min walk away from one of the best beaches on the island and within walking (though many would probably hop in the car) distance to where most of the dinner action tends to take place. Very easy to recommend, would definitely love to visit again!

Amazing hotel. One of the best in Ammouliani. The staff was really kind and friendly, they made sure to look after us. The room was beautifully decorated, spacious enough and the balcony was very much appreciated.
