Located on the beachfront in Lionas and featuring a garden, Delfinaki Lionas Boutique Apartments has free WiFi. Every room has a balcony with views of the sea. At the inn, the rooms include a... The apartment house was very new and modern and the mom really knows how to cook in the family owned restaurant nearby. Be careful with the homemade wine though - it's strong! 😉 The beach is just 2 minutes away walking and feels like a private beach. The tiny village is located in a quiet bay were you go to bed and wake up with nothing else but the sound of the waves and the chirp of the crickets... and the occasional bells of the goats. The breakfast was a traditional Greek one, we think, with bread and marmalade and some delicious treats and homemade cherry juice. And good coffee! The owners were very friendly and forthcoming!
Situated 200 metres away from the sandy Abram Beach, Petrino Hotel is set amidst a lush tree garden overlooking the Aegean Sea. Most beautiful welcome I ever received. Hara and her family were so kind and generous. The breakfast and the dinner were amazing, tasteful, with fresh and local products/specialities, their organic wine is really good (vins vivants) and I’m not even mentioning the fact that their water are coming direct from the mountains. The guesthouse is really in a paradise, near a calm and lovely beach, with nature, the sunsets were incredible and we could shower with a sea view. The room was really nice and clean, with a large balcony. We wish we could stay more, we’ll come back for sure with the people we love to share what we felt at Petrino these wonderful days.
Villa Athina is a self-catering accommodation located in Ambrami. Free WiFi access is available. All units will provide you with a TV, air conditioning and a balcony. The place is amazing! The views are something to kill for. Athina, her parents and her boyfriend are the nicest people ever! The rooms are spacious and clean. There are stairs from the villas to the beach. Athina's family runs a nice restaurant just next to the beach with very nice food. All in all we spent our time in heaven.
Located in the scenic mountain village of Koronos, Matina - Stavros Traditional Houses offers self-catering apartments with traditional decoration, fireplace and balcony overlooking the village and... You basically get your own village house with super large area at the ground floor and bathroom, bedroom and balcony at the top. This alone plus a great view from balcony make this place worth every penny. The location is great too: it's next to main street that goes through the whole village, but you still can park your car right next to the hotel entrance. We also recommend visiting tavern run by the same family in Koronos "platsa": food is great and cake is just out of this world. This is what 10/10 hotel looks like.
Beautiful traditional Greek village. Plenty of bars around the little beach all with smiley staff that made us so welcome. The village is quite isolated but Naxos isn't geared up for mass tourism anyway, and overall is extremely quiet compared to the likes of Syros and Tinos. If you're island hopping it's great, not so ideal for an extended stay
Apollonas, where the hotel Kouros is situated, is a small, traditional village in the north-eastern part of the Island Naxos. Apart from a couple of (excellent) restaurants and two bars (out of which one in the Hotel Kouros) there are no many activities for the youth, like disco´s etc. It´s quiet, peacfull and away from the noise of civilisation. People that come to Apollonas, do it in the first place for the high quality food that is served by the local restaurant owners, food that they cultivate mostly on their own. When it comes to Hotel Kouros in particular, it´s all about the peace and relaxation, its direct location at a nice beach and the activities that the host of the hotel provides to his guests, like for example diverse hiking journeys and kayak trips. To sum up the day in Hotel Kouros, I could say: start with a royal breakfast prepared by the owner, a hiking trip through diverse routes in the mountains, dinner in an excellent restaurant at the pictoresque boulevard, and an excellent mojito at the bar in Hotel Kouros (prepared personally by the host).
Lovely quiet place, good selection of restaurants and bars, but not a 'party' venue, which was good for us but worth bearing in mind if that's what you like! It takes a while to get there as the roads are windy, but the scenery along the way is spectacular..
Apollon is our new best greek town. We have just been for Greek Easter and had the most amazing experience. We stayed at Flora's Apartments and the owner Christina invited us to her house with her family for all the Easter celebrations - absolutely wonderful experience - its a small town with a beautiful beach and such very friendly people - we have been going for 4 years and have made many good friends - we are on our way back to Apollon in August 2019.
The drive to Apollon was challenging with multiple switchbacks wrapping around several mountains with narrow lanes. Once you adjusted to that the views were spectacular around each curve. The nearby Kouros are worth visiting for anyone with an interest in history. The tavernas and shops in Apollon are all interesting to visit and reasonably priced. Although too cool while we were there, the nearby beach would we wonderful for a family vacation. The staff at the hotel were extremely helpful and attentive to any request.
Stayed for 2 nights here, really was our favourite part of our Cycladian tour. The Village of Apollonas is relatively quiet and about 50 mins out of Naxos Town (we arranged a transfer with the owner), but you're rewarded with beautiful coastline and perfect hiking country. We met several repeat visitors on cycling and walking holidays during our stay. The rooms are pretty good for the price, whilst breakfasts are a must (as is the homegrown Salad). Restaurants are generally good quality establishments (there are at least 4). If you like local tips about what to see or do, the staff are very helpful and engaging - there's plenty of that warm-hearted Greek hospitality on show here. All in all, we found very little to fault with our stay and hope to return soon.

Best accommodation in Apollonas, lovely sea views, great central and quiet location, very friendly owner. For adventurous visitors to town there are some great cliffs to jump from and blow hole/underwater cave on cliffs opposite main town.
