Kampos is a nice area full of older mansions, many restored for use as bed and breakfast. The mansions typically have high walls, and extensive gardens inside the courtyards, full of trees and flowers. It is generally a quiet area, very quaint, and close to major roads leading south, north, and west, not far from the capital city and the airport. We ate at a variety of establishments, both in the nearby village and on the coast. All had fresh seafood and local dishes and the prices were very reasonable. We didn't find a place anywhere that could be considered a "tourist trap."VerlinUnited States of America

The courtyard is magnificent, and sitting there, chatting with Eleny, is even more wonderful. The rooms are spotless, and everyone is very friendly. You can learn all the information you need about the island in Topakas and plan your route. Chios town is only a 10-minute drive away. Breakfast was made up with local products much of which was within eyesight of your breakfast table. The walled property would be a safe environment for those with small children.
