Located in Katapola Village, the traditionally built Casaprimavera offers air-conditioned accommodation with free WiFi access. Facilities include a shared kitchenette. Very clean room with all the equipments needed. Close to everything un Katapola especially when the ferry is at 6am! We have been welcomed with sweets which is very nice from the owner and her daughter. Fully recommanded.
The Cycladic-style Hotel Minoa is centrally located in Katapola Port, next to restaurants and mini markets and 100 metres from the beach. I've never felt as welcomed at a hotel as I did staying at Minoa. The owners were kind, accommodating, and paid attention to detail. The breakfast was wonderful, the room was clean and spacious. The view was incredible. I hope to return!
Just 150 metres from Katapola Beach, the Cycladic-style St.George Valsamitis offers air-conditioned rooms with views to the Aegean Sea or the surrounding mountains in Xilokeratidi settlement. The location is very good, only ten minutes walk from the port of Katapola. From the bus station not even that. The hotel itself is quiet, clean and recently renovated. Rooms are beautiful and nicely furnished. We had one with excellent sea view to the Katapola bay. You can also have breakfast in the morning with reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We fully recommend!
Situated in Katápola, 80 metres from Katapola Port and 20 km from Ancient City of Arkesini, Pension The Big Blue features accommodation with free WiFi and a garden with a terrace and sea views. Everyone is very friendly and the rooms are simple but beautiful.
Located in Katapola of Amorgos, Diasino Studios offers free WiFi and views of the port, the Aegean Sea and Katapola Village. It features self-catering accommodation with private balcony. Great location, set just off the main drag (such as it is!) with a lovely view of the sea from the top balcony. Loads of space for a family of 4 to sleep but also sit and relax. Cleaned daily and immaculately. All set on an idyllic island!
Located 2 km from Katapola Port, the traditionally built Skopelitis Village offers elegantly decorated units with a terrace overlooking the sea. Everything was perfect. Although we had a last minute booking due to the boats strike, the welcome experience was more than excellent. The rooms are perfect with high speed wi-fi internet. The location is amazing. From your room balcony you can see a panoramic view of the port, the "big blue" of the sky and the sea, and the sunset as well! You can enjoy the same view from the breakfast area too. A real place to relax in the absolute comfort rooms and enjoy the amazing breakfast, the unbelievable view (day or night), the silence and the great and warm hospitality of the owner (Fotini). If you find it available, book it !!!
Enjoying a quiet location in the traditional settlement of Xylokeratidi, Kaerati Apartments offers self-catering accommodation with free WiFi access. Extremely clean and modern with a very comfortable bed. Lovely outdoor seating area. Balcony overlooking the pretty harbour of Katapola. Our host, George, met us from the port and helped us up the hill with our luggage.
Surrounded by a garden, the Cycladic-style Castelopetra is just 2 km from Katapola Port and 4 km from Amorgos Chora. It features a bar and sun terrace. We really liked the friendly receptionist who gave us valuable info for the island. The location was good. The facilities were great and of high quality. This pansion was value for money.
Saint George Valsamitis Superior is located in Katapola, a 1-minute walk from Katapola Port, and just 150 metres from Katapola Beach and within 20 km from Aigiali Village and Port. Lovely host Petros picked me up even though the studio is actually on the port but saves me from searching in the dark. He is so thoughtful that he left me with nespresso coffe machine and capsules, raiki liqueur, double towels, bottle of water. The studio feels more like a lovely apartment. Spacious, clean, homely, well decorated and furnished, very well soundproofed and hassle free. Everything you need is there including great balcony and views. Car rental, supermarket, restaurants are all nearby. Despite a big apartment and near the port, one feels absolutely safe.
Amorgos is a lovely island. You should consider hiring a car for at least part of your stay to make the most of the island as the two main settlements, Aegiali and Katapola are at opposite ends of this long thin island. There are several other villages worth a visit. The chora is particularly cute - lots of little flower filled alleyways and plenty places to eat. We were very impressed by the food on offer everywhere. It wasn't just the typical Greek staples but interesting vegetarian things too with a Middle Eastern twist. The only disappointment was the beaches (I am used to the excellent ones on Naxos) but, to be fair, we didn't visit any that are only accessed by foot or caique, so we may have missed something.
Good walking. There are local maps available with numbered walks. These walks are then way marked out in the hills with starting points around Katapola signposted. Nice selection of restaurants and bars. No supermarket but there are three small minimarkets which have a basic selection but tended to run out of things. Very relaxing. It has beaches but they aren't as good as nearby Koufonissia and Naxos.
Amorgos is beaitıful island, although at first arriving after Koufonisia we had to adjust in as this island is sitting on high cliffs, windy roads, barren lands on the north western side and we did not like as much Aegeali. However we really loved Katapola as it has a great charm, lovely bay on both sides, amazing sunsets. Moreover as we have seen more of the island on the South West and what this island has to offer, we loved the breathtaking view and spiritual feeling of the Chozoviotsas Monastery, Agia Anna beach, even more breath taking Mouros Beach and we understood why they chose this island for Big Blue, then the lovely bay of Kaloteritissa, we loved the Chora in the evenings, good restaurants in various locations. Overall it was magical, serene, spiritual and unexpectedly striking and had a feel of left aside from its glorious sister islands....
Great walks, clearly signposted and useful walking maps available. A selection of shops, bars and tavenas. Nice setting. Occasional buses to Chora and beyond. Relaxing. Note the beaches are poor so try Koufonissia or Naxos instead.
Peaceful, pleasant, friendly - three words that more or less sum up Plenty of restaurants offering fair value for money Worth wandering around and exploring. Take a boat across the bay to the beach.
Katapola is a nice size for holiday resort, OK for buses but we went in July so maybe out of season not so good. Chora was small but interesting. excellent bakers & plenty of Tavernas with the usual Greek menus, food was good. Unfortuneatley we had to use the medical centre whilst there, found the service very good.

Wonderful host, great location with a beautiful view, the place was very pleasant and very clean. The only thing that could have been better would have been a larger bed ( we had a full size bed and would have prefer a queen or king size ). That being said, we understand the room was fairly small in size and it might be difficult to put a queen size in it. Angeliki is a wonderful person and an exceptional host, very very welcoming!!! And we would not hesitate to stay there again if we ever go back to Amorgos!

The studios at Diasino are beautiful, very clean, with all the necessary amenities and excellent daily service. They are conveniently located near the port in Katapola, walking distance from several great beaches and the bus stop, so it is convenient to use buses to reach other parts and other beaches of Amorgos. Our host, Sofia, greeted us at the port and was very welcoming throughout our stay at Diasino. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit to Amorgos and a stay at Diasino Studios.

Location right on the harbour front is wonderful, fabulous view of harbour from the balcony of my room, perhaps I was lucky. Hotel is older but has all necessary facilities with adjacent good open air restaurants. I had a very pleasant stay and would certainly recommend not only this hotel but also the island of Amorgos. Don't miss the monastery on the South side of the island - stunning.

I would highly recommend Aegean of Amorgos. The place is quite, very clean and you have all the things as it is written. The view from balcony is amazing, you can see all the coast of Katapola. Breakfast is very delicous. The owner is always ready to help the tourists. I had a basic room and its awesome. Book with hesitate!

The owner was nice and friendly. He was waiting for us at the port because we were very late because of the ferry company (5 hours), so it was nice to have someone who can drive us at the hotel. The place are quiet. It’s located at 10 mn by walk from the port (1,2km).

Vera was very helpful. Met me at the port although only a short distance back. Room was spotless, newly updated and the view from the beautiful balcony was spectacular. Needed more time in Amorgos and would definitely stay here again

The hotel is very close to the port and all the restaurants. The place is really quiet. Small balcony on the room. Bed is confortable. Nobody at the reception during our stay, this hotel is an annex of the Minoa hotel.

Coming back from an intensive holiday day with plenty of swimming, high sun and high temperatures, you want to take a shower and relax. The view from my window in the late afternoon was magnificent. Apaggio was at the outskirts of the town of Katapola, about 1500 meters uphill at the road leading to Chora. The view from my shady private balcony looking down at the harbour of Katapola was astonishing, keeping me doing the same every afternoon until it went dark. A sight I will never forget. The selection of the place with its private free parking in such a crowded island was a big plus. Then the night lights at the small port of Katapola sipping some wine. I will try to go again in the coming years. And Tonia and Sofia so friendly and open! The place surrounded by green, an oasis in Amorgos.

Pension Gallini was as peaceful as it is called! A few steps behind of the seafront was only tranquility. I could it really enjoy on my shadowy terrace with beautiful flowers around! I was welcomed very warmly, met in the harbour and felt home immediately. My room was not big, but clean. The yellow walls and pillows made me just feel happy and in the right place! By the way, the WiFi was excellent!
