It depends on what you want. Parts are aimed at tourists. But it's worth a wander. The old town is worth a half day. There are sufficient good restaurants, especially at the top end of the pedestrian are that's worth a visit. Restaurants and bars are competitive so prices are vert reasonable. Kos Town offers a great balance of beach, buzzy bars/restaurants and culture. You have the option to spend a day at the beach, go on the 3 Island Boat Trip, explore the lovely shops of Kos Town or the Agora or Odeon. We've also visited the Asclepieion and Zia so you won't be short of variety or things to do. We particulary liked hiring bikes (5 Euros a bike) and cycling to Psalidi and then the other way towards Tingaki - cycling lanes make it a safe experience.Guest review byMartinUnited Kingdom - 8.0

Small island with a lot to see and experience. Public transport was easy to use and there were also lot of affordable excursions to take on the island and in the neighbouring islands. I visited early in the summer and it was very verdant and beautiful. Locals were friendly and the island was fairly clean. Very safe for a solo traveller!Guest review byKatariinaFinland

The food was surprisingly good for all inclusive and there was plenty of choice every day. We also had no problem getting sun loungers at the pool even on days we were up a bit later. The staff were really friendly and the entertainment was fun in the evenings. There is a bus stop that goes to Kos town which takes 10 minutes.
