United StatesI might have written only couple reviews in some 15 years, but Nausika’s property is a rare gem and absolutely deserves my time doing so as it is absolutely fabulous!!!
Gated private location with parking for multiple cars just at the beginning of Methoni’s city limits with fantastic properly grounds, couple verandas to enjoy the outdoors (smartly positioned to avoid excessive sun exposure throughout the day during the summer) with beautiful and functional awnings, and an outside shower with cold & hot water!
The entire property is sparkling clean inside out. I was impressed not by how the inside of the property was impeccably clean, but also all the outside spaces as well. I truly have not experienced that in any other property before.
The inside of the property is stunning in terms of decor, taste, quality, functionality, space, beds/sofa beds, A/Cs, appliances, furniture, curtains… I could go on and on.
Nausika has meticulously thought literally of everything that is needed for someone to feel not just like home, but like visiting their mother’s house and be spoiled.
In addition, and this is what tips off the scale compared to anything else I have ever experienced is the “human experience”… Nausika herself. Simply put Nausika’s picture should be next to the lexicon under “Greek Hospitality”. She embodies the ideal as it has been passed down through the millennia in the Greek culture and she would not have it any other way… you can literally see it in her eyes!
She goes above and beyond any standards and normal expectations to stock up the property to the brim with everything you need to be functional for days without having to buy anything yourself.

Majestic with a castle and the crystal blue waters as a backdrop. Methoni is for everyone - it has history, beach, shopping, friendly and welcoming people and amazing food. I highly recommend making a reservation at Castro (a reservation because you will not get a table unless you do) for a delightful cuisine and spectacular view at sunset. You will not regret it. I also recommend the Rex right by the beach. Excellent food. Enjoy!

We really enjoyed Methoni.
We really enjoyed Methoni. Wandering around the historic town, exploring the castle, walking the surrounding countryside and ending up at Surreal for coffee or Thalassa for a meal.
Our holiday was pure relaxation.
If you want to explore further a car is probably necessary as the bus service is minimal.

If you are seeking a quieter holiday it is ideal, although I can only comment on our October holiday when it was not so busy.
It is a lovely town with many small streets to explore and friendly people, with the superb castle as its focal point.
It is well served with Tavernas/Restaurants and facilities for boat trips including fishing.

Methoni is a nice town in the furthest Peloponnese.
Methoni is a nice town in the furthest Peloponnese. It has a real island vibe, more like Crete than the rest of the Peloponnese. Mass tourism has not yet really beaten it down. Pylos is more touristic, but Methoni is just a little further down the road.

The water and beach views were beautiful.
The water and beach views were beautiful. The walk through the castle was amazing! It would have been nice to have a map describing the structures within the castle. The rocky cliffs and water were spectacular. We enjoyed out visit to Methoni and recommend it.

Stunning property set in its own olive grove with a spectacular view of Methoni. Well equipped with everything you could need. Tranquil spot - you could spend hours sitting on the balcony looking at the view. Plenty of secure space for our dog to run around and explore and different seating areas in garden including hammocks and picnic tables to suit different moods. Excellent and helpful host. So great we will be back!
