Mykonos city is beautiful with lots of shopping opportunities and bars/restaurants. We found the Old Port slightly cheaper than Little Venice. We always checked prices before ordering anything as Mykonos City is quite expensive Our amazing accommodation Hidden Heaven was up the hill from the centre of town and bars/ restaurants around there were much more reasonable. Public bus service very good
We loved the town it was clean and beautiful . We didn't find it any more expensive than Athens.. you just need to be selective and stick to your budget lots of cheaper options the gyros is one of the best we had in Greece. It's a shoppers paradise💕 The town centre is so pretty it's a shame the cruise ships arrive sometimes 4 at a time which makes it hard to enjoy during those hours, get a car or ATV and go to some of the secluded beaches they have bars, food attached to most!! Enjoy the ocean it's glorious and come back to the town centre in the evenings!! Or get up real early to enjoy..
I booked last minute and was happy to find Mykonos Chora. Great value for money and central location. The host was accommodating for me to stay an extra night and replied instantly to my emails. The room was spacious and bed was my most comfortable throughout my 6 week travels in Greece.
It's a lovely place. there is quite a bit of up and down hill walking required to visit the famous town which is quite charming though it took awhile to find our way and was sometimes quite crowded, I suspect more so during the day when the cruise ships are in. We had a wonderful dinner at Mamalouka but a very disappointing one at the mysteriously highly rated Nikos Taverna. The nearby beach was quite convenient and nicely equipped with sun beds for a fee and lounge side service, a number of full service restaurants and shops right there and great music selected by a live DJ at one of the restaurants. from what I understand it is more of an expedition to get to the other beaches which are probably more youth oriented as well.
It has a very bad reputation as rip off island but I did not notice it at all , all restaurants I looked at had menus with prices and they were very much OK It's claimed a celebrity island for a reason - it is very pretty - did not visit beaches (run out of time) but the old port is definitely a weekend place to go , it's a gem , you will not see all the streets over the weekend as it has too many of them and all very busy (good vibe busy) with beautiful people :)
Because of cruise boats, because of social networks where (people think) it only matters to add photos that already exist by thousands, in short because of greed, Mykonos has become another crossbreed of Barcelona/Disney and Dubai/Ibiza. Expensive but cheap...

We couldn't have asked for more from our accommodation. The location was a very central point between the town and beach clubs. Our host Katerina could not do enough for us, whether that be keeping us hydrated and stomachs full by the pool, recommending the best spots to eat out and visit, and entertaining my 2 year old daughter. Do not be put off by the airport being close as you cannot hear the planes from your room. Overall an amazing locaation, an amazing boutique hotel with amazing people, we will be back!

Fantastic stay. They offer free transfer to and from the hotel, they stocked the mini fridge daily with bottled water and juice (complementary), and will keep your luggage for you after checkout if you have a later departure. The room was great and the location is perfect (right next to the bus stop and at the entrance to the main town). There is also a 24 hour mini market right next door. Overall I found the service and stay to be exceptional and really felt like I got my money's worth.

This is a family run hotel, and my hosts treated me like family! They picked me up from the ferry and drove me to the airport as well, all while offering me a snack upon arrival and a small gift when leaving. The room had so many small thoughtful touches that helped me feel welcome and at home. The place itself is a great location with restaurants and bars nearby and easy to walk to. It is a bit quieter away from the main town but a great place to relax and enjoy the hot tub.

Beautiful hotel, exceptional service. The room was very clean and the breakfast was excellent. The hotel driver Gregoris was very kind and very helpful. He brought us to the most beautiful, hidden beach in Mykonos, which we would never have found without him. Gregoris is the best driver in Mykonos and the most knowledgeable! The infinity pool was beautiful. We were in walking distance to Mykonos town which was very convenient but far enough that you have peace and quiet.
Everyone at the Marisso were absolutely incredible. A family run hotel that made you feel like you were part of the family when you stay. The location is the best, a short walk down the hill and you are in fabrica which is the entrance to the town. The hotel was spotless and has the most beautiful views. The pool is the perfect thing if you just want a day to rest. Thank you so much to everyone there. You made it our best trip to Mykonos yet. See you next year!
It was so close to the main town and just a short walk to the bus/taxi station to get anywhere on the island. It was a beautiful hotel, our room was beautiful with an amazing view of the town and the water. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was great with lots of options and another great view. The staff was so wonderful, accommodating, warm, and helpful. The owner, Yanna, was warm and friendly and helped us make plans to get to the beach and to the airport.
The villa is an exceptional choice, location, amenities and most importantly, the staff at this resort made the entire stay special! It was truly amazing and hard to leave the wonderful people here. To think that we almost skipped Mykonos during our vacation through Greece, what a huge mistake that would have been. Thank you Vencia hotel staff for an absolutely amazing stay and service. Hope to see you all again soon.

Villa Konstantin was fantastic. My family of 7 felt right at home at this beautiful hillside inn. We were guests at 5 hotels while visiting different places in Greece. Villa Konstantin was by far our favorite. Sharon, the owner, is a wonderful host who took personal interest in our visit. She is genuinely a friendly person. Her little dog Sofia even stopped by our room a few times to make sure we felt welcomed.
Manto picked us up at the port and drove us to the town where our accommodation was. so close to the restaurants, bars. You are literally steps away. space was impeccable, shout out to the best nights sleep in Greece! the restaurants are very expensive, so we ate out once a day. The grocery store was close, so we shopped there for breakfast and lunch. Grocery store prices way more reasonable than the US.
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in! Staff were exceptional and really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. We had a complimentary upgrade upon arrival to a sea view suite. Breakfast options and quality of food was beyond anything we could've imagined. 5 minute walk from Ornos beach and 10 minute drive into Mykonos old town.
- the room was very spacious - almost the best view in town from the terrace of the room directly to sea and sunsets - 5 min walk to Mykonos city centre (away from noise streets) - deposit box with key lock in the room - hotel pool with a nice view at the sunset - hotel staff very helpful and amabil - a/c in the room - big variety of the breakfast
The family running the business are very friendly and always ready to help you. Excellent service. In case you don't feel walk to town there is a bus stop at 50meters from the hotel, very convenient. The rooms are spacious and very clean.

Excellent location. I just can’t say that enough! The best view! I would recommend booking the taxi from the airport. If you arrive by ferry, take the Seabus to the Old Town Port. It’s the best way to get to the hotel and very close.
This hotel has a beautiful outlook over the sea, it’s also close enough to walk into Mykonos town. The family run this hotel, it’s very clean and they provide a lovely breakfast that you can enjoy taking in the view.
Staff was beyond amazing and the food excellent. The location is perfect for explore the town. Typical European style hotel, so rooms a little tired but overall a terrific option if you want to stay in town!
Very fancy hotel, definitely 5 star quality, great perks included like buffet breakfast, airport or ferry private transfers in a luxury car, bottle of sparkling on ice on arrival
