The spitaki was the perfect vacation house for my husband and I's rock climbing trip. We wanted to be outside of the main towns, and this location was ideal for that. The host, George, was so welcoming and accommodating. The home had everything we needed including a comfortable bed, kitchen, and washing machine. We would love to stay here again for future trips!

Panormos is much quieter than Myrties and it has a big supermarket and a fuel station. But you need some sort of wheels to get to places as buses aren’t as frequent. We had a scooter and that worked for us well. As climbers we travelled everyday to different walls. Panormos offered the cheapest accommodation with facilities.

Panormos is a good place to stay when you visit Kalymnos...

Panormos is a good place to stay when you visit Kalymnos island because of its location (close to the port, Kalymnos capital, museums, sightseeing and to beaches and restaurants on the other hand). The problem with all of the island is that there are nowhere sidewalks and streets are so narrow that if two cars meet one of them should back off , because there is not enough space for both of them (!!!!) and pedestrians are in a real danger .

I was on a climbing holiday and it was much more peaceful than Masouri, if that is what you like. Meeting friends in Masouri in the evening was awkward because of travel and drink driving. However, I did drink less as a result and probably felt better.

good restaurants, good bus service, helpful people, close to beach, good walking area. superb scenery, good centre for visiting other areas of the island. Panormos is sometimes spoilt by noisy motorbikes/ scooters in early hours and of course the area suffers from exaust pollution. The area is renowned for climbers, if that is your choice, swimming is safe in main beaches on the island. Walkers are well catered for on the many paths on the hills.

The room was clean, tidy and comfortable for two people while the hostess (Mrs Evdokia) was very helpful and nice to us. She came to pick us up from the port on the day of our arrival and dropped us to the port when we had to leave free of charge. The location is great as it’s close to supermarket, great restaurants and the Kantouni beach.

I’d like to thank Anastasis and his wonderful family for the amazing days on Kalymnos. Everything was perfectly clean and well organized, and any issue was solved immediately. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, just a few steps from a lovely beach. I wholeheartedly recommend this place and hope to come back one day.

the hotel's location was perfect. It has taken 5mn to the beach by car, close to the port. It was possible to arrive at the hotel by local transport too. there was 3 restaurants (one of them was horrible), 1 mini market(buffe), 1 pharmacy, 1 Cafe, 1 toys shop, 2 gas stations near by hotel and 1 car rental office under it.

Kalydna Island hotel is a beautiful location on a spectacular island. We spent 4 nights B&B and had a brilliant time. The room was spotless and tidied daily, the breakfast was plentiful, and fresh. The greek yoghurt was the best I have ever tasted. Loads of great tavernas within walking distance.
